Full Moon Insights
The Full Moon occurs on Wednesday September the 6th falling in the watery sign of Pisces. Pisces has a very intuitive, creative, romantic and dreamy energy. During this Full Moon we will be called to delve deep into the watery depths of our subconscious. The influences of a Full Moon lasts for two weeks and relates to the previous new moon, which was the August Solar Eclipse. The powerful and fiery Leo Solar Eclipse definitely left a huge impact and its vibrations will be felt all the way through to February 2018. This Full Moon is also called the Harvest Moon.
Many have reported feeling super depleted, dazed and zapped of energy, this is because the Solar Eclipse was helping us all to reset and to set new upgraded intentions for the future.
Although the energy of the Solar Eclipse will be with us until February 2018, the September Full Moon signifies the first “harvest” point, and will bring a noticeable shift in energy.
The Pisces Full Moon is strongly influenced by Neptune who is retrograde also is Pisces. The main energy around this Full Moon is spirituality, romanticism, dreams, illusion, deception, weakness, confusion and vagueness. This Pisces Full moon will definitely increase our emotional sensitivity. Some, especially empaths, may strongly be sensing the thoughts and feelings of others, which can make you feel very uneasy or literally physically sick. Be cautious, some may pick up the wrong signals, and we will be more vulnerable to deception and scandal.
Dreams are big leading up to, during and after the Full Moon. Get out your dream diary… Some dreams may be prophetic, deeply symbolic, or just totally out there and some may turn into fantasies with a life of their own.
The Pisces Full Moon also encourages us to dive into developing our intuition, there is a wonderful and supportive energy to help us all on this journey.
A Pisces Full Moon helps us to understand our true intentions and can illuminates what is really guiding us on our journeys.
Under these insights, we are offered the gift to be able to dive into our fullest potential… as long as our intentions and motivations are aligned with the highest calling of our souls.
When the Moon is in Pisces, it not only brings us insights into our deeper thoughts, feelings and emotions, but it also brings about a release of psychic energy.
A Pisces Full Moon is the perfect time to do an energy cleanse and to clear away any stuck or lingering energy that we wish to clear from our lives. Although this Full Moon has a dreamy, creative, and romantic energy to it, there is another side of it as well that must be observed.
Often when there is a lot of this dreamy, watery energy around it can cause our emotions to run super charged, somewhat out of control and confusion can set in. Deception may be at play too and this is a time when it is more challenging to determine fact from fiction.
This is a time to be very clear to ourselves and to others about our intentions. There can be no gray areas, only yes or no. If we find ourselves tempted to use deception or underhand tactics to get our own way it will lead to digging a great big hole for ourselves. Confusion and deception may put at risk long-term success. Relationship problems, illness or financial strain may lead to disappointment. If we find ourselves facing disappointment and discouragement, it may be tempting to escape the harsh realities of life through mind altering substances. This is a time where we may be more susceptible to addiction as well as being ripped off. Suspicion could spiral into paranoia, guilt or self-destructive habits, we must all be warned of the addictive side of a Piscean Moon.
Focused and sharp thinking will help us clear away any fog, deception and expose the secrets and lies. Discovering the truth may hurt but our motivation and sense of adventure will return. A sense of perseverance can bring swift and positive change. Excitement and passion is around and can help replace mistrust and disappointment. Determined and continuous effort will bring the growth and happiness we all desire.
Mercury moves out of retrograde just one day before the Full Moon on September 5th, woot woot….!!! Although we are still in the shadow of it… the week following the Full Moon should bring more information or new understandings to the surface.
While the Full Moon will illuminate things, it is still important to take things slow and to not rush ahead until Mercury has returned to its former strength later in the month.
The positive side to this Full Moon is that our instincts and intuition will be super charged, so we must use them to guide us. If something feels off, or if we find our intuition and our minds are not on the same wave length, we must definitely pay attention and be cautious… remember trickery and deception may be at play.
Overall, this Full Moon should bring a change of pace and although there is some funky energy around it will feel far more gentle and soothing from last month. August had a lot of fiery energy, but this Full Moon is going to bring us some much needed watery relief.
As we shift from fire to water, we should begin to feel far more relaxed, creative, and tranquil. This is definitely a time to connect with this energy, to recharge and to shake off any fiery vibes that we are ready to shift and are finished working with.
The positive side to the energy of the Piscean Full Moon is that it offers us an opening to awaken, to fully connect with our inner power, our intuition and our true selves.
Tuesday the 8th of August we have a Full Moon falling in Aquarius along with a partial Lunar Eclipse. Eclipses are known to bring about great change in our lives and can shake up the energy for months to come. The partial eclipse is visible in Australia from 3.20 am Tuesday the 8th, peaks at 4.20 and will be finished at 5.20am. The Lions Gate portal is at it’s peak on the 8th as well.. This is when the Earth, Sun and Sirius are in alignment with the galactic centre. This alignment rains huge amounts of energy into us all. So, couple all these things together, a Full Moon, Eclipse and the Lions gate portal… Wowa… Hold on for the ride kids!!
The Aquarius Full Moon is reminding us to set our focus on our dreams even if things pop up to make us question them. This is one of those tests we find so often in life where we need to stay steady even though the world surrounding us feels chaotic.
We have been juggling and blending the new and old life patterns that overlap each other as we move forward. Now it is the time to focus on our attention on the new that we are creating while closing up the doors of the past. This is a call to look at seeing the bigger picture instead of stressing about the details. We need to have faith. Where we put our focus, we see growth and manifestation.
Rebellious Aquarius can help us in areas where we feel trapped, and can aid us in becoming unstuck and moving forward in big ways. This can lead us to face where we are struggling with freedom in our lives, which is being awakened in a big way. We are seeing with fresh eyes where we have been too long tied to old situations, to old ways of thinking, feeling and living.
The time has come to end the patterns that we repeat that don’t serve our growth forward. This is the time to release what creates our stress, we don’t need it where we are moving forward to. The time has come to drop what drains our energy, cut the cord and release the hold.
Despite feeling like some of these things have been in a holding pattern forever, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There are changes occurring, even if it seems to be taking a long time. Everything flowing in and around us whispers of the changes that are ongoing and upcoming. Keep the faith and believe. There are miracles flowing in the unseen. Open to the mystery and trust.
The Moon is opposed Mars during this Full Moon, and that adds extra intensity to the skies and to the shifts that can come quickly. It can also bring surges of emotion rising to the surface, which we need to see.
The Full Moon tells us that we need to end the battle we have within ourselves, especially where we are fighting being vulnerable and open. The time has come to honor our feelings and to let our guard down when it comes to letting in those we love. This can be a call to deepen trust and open in our intimate relationships, or to let our friends or family into our inner world.
The purpose of life is not to go it alone. Being strong means reaching out and opening when you need. It also means realising that we are worthy of receiving love.
This is a huge time of illumination when it comes to our feelings being revealed, especially where we have been suppressing or hiding them. Pluto and Neptune are still retrograde, and they are helping much to be brought into the light from unexpressed emotions to secrets. This can be a time of big revelations, so be ready for information that can come out, it can be game-changing.
The Full Moon and the lunar eclipse drop us deep into our emotions. They remind us to not become detached. Feel. Express. Don’t pinch yourself off, build walls, or be aloof. If you want authentic love, the time for holding yourself back from intimacy is over. This can be a place of looking at our fear of involvement and where we are scared to open ourselves.
There is powerful energy here if we are present with what we need to work through and see fully. We have the power during this eclipse cycle to make big changes, especially in our relationships, both with others and ourselves.
This is an amazing time for problem-solving. Ideas and solutions flow easily during this Moon, and new understanding of ongoing situations is very possible. This new insight can bring unconventional approaches and solutions that are good for all parties involved to the table. As this is a potent time to seek knowledge, it is also a very powerful time for divination.
This Moon tells us to expect the unexpected, as surprises can show up out of the blue, causing shifts to plans or changes to be set into motion. This can cause stress in our relationships. Pay attention to the lessons that are being revealed to you, to the synchronicity that is being shown by the Universe, and to the messages that are coming. This insight can be valuable for the future.
This Moon is showing us ways that we can explore unknown territory and push the limits of our world. This is a good time to be ambitious and set your sights on your own success. We need to get clear on how we see ourselves first, and make sure that we are appreciating our own gifts and seeing our value.
Be aware that you are not taken advantage of when partnering with others. Make sure that who you are getting into projects or business with have the same focus as you, otherwise you could wind up doing all the work. Watch whom you trust. This Full Moon eclipse is reminding us to not make any rash decisions until we are sure that the information we are receiving is true and not false.
No matter what you are working on or where you find yourself during this Moon, follow your heart’s desire. This is a big theme during this eclipse season, and this Aquarius Full Moon is sandwiched by two Leo New Moons, which are all about following your heart. We all need to follow our hearts because no one is going to follow it for us.
The Full Moon on falls on Sunday the 9th of July for us here in Australia in the Earthy sign of Capricorn with the Sun sitting in the opposite sign of watery Cancer. It is also known as the Thunder Moon, or Buck Moon and is going to bring through a major energetic shift on many levels. Relationships, financial aspects, and home matters are the three key elements of change that will be affected during this lunation.
The Full Capricorn Thunder Moon offers us an opportunity to look at these keys issues and will allow us all to pay attention to what makes us “wake us up,” but It does come with some intense energy. If we allow the energy to flow, we should finally be able to see things fall into place within our minds, just as these illuminations settle into our souls. As intense as it maybe we all need to soak up the inspiration offered, and let it allow us to grow, just like the flowers and trees grow after a thunderstorm.
Maybe you’ve been waiting for something in your work life to bloom into something more, or perhaps you’ve been contemplating major changes in your relationship. This Full Moon is telling us that our desire for change is a sign…. that we are not the same as we were before. New powers are waiting to emerge…. so please let’s just let them. Go with it…. It may be painful, Yes… Purposeful…Yes!! Big things are coming that will be Better… Bigger and Happier in the long run… It’s a bit like giving birth… Mumma’s you know who you will hold in your arms after the labour…the ecstasy after the pain… Dadda’s you know the magic of holding the blessing of your child that you co created…
This is a powerful Full Moon if we don’t allow ourselves to be intimidated by it. The purging aspects are strong which means it will be an excellent Full Moon for detoxification. It will feel a bit like the phoenix rising out of the flames… Dive in!! Purge, Release as hard as that might be!
We just experienced The New Moon in Cancer, which laid down the groundwork to start clearing out emotional baggage that has been weighing us down. We started to breathe again, and it reminded us that yes, we are strong enough to do this on our own if need be.
As we go through these energetic shifts, we are going to feel like we are being pulled in a million different directions… Yep… it’s a lot to handle. But if we remember to make practical and rational decisions (breathe, breathe, and breathe again) then we will come out on top of this powerful phase.
Regardless of what we may feel, know that deep down inside, this is the absolute best way for us to move forward and accomplish the goals we have been putting aside. These are the changes we must go through if we want to achieve our greatest desires.
This Capricorn Full moon is a time of incredible opportunity, filled with positive energy, intense Yes….but if we use it correctly. depending on our energy and intent. This Full Moon can either help us tremendously, or it can wreak havoc on our emotions. Since the Full Moon pours an intense amount of energy down upon us, we must be in a calm state of mind to receive its positive effects.
We need to remember, whatever is going on in our bodies, mind and spirit will be amplified and increased.
So…Come on…. Let’s step up… Question….. Are we ready for this major energy shift?
Yep… We are….truly…you and all of us are… July themes is?…. Remember ….Just Do It!!! We have totally got This Guys!!!
Friday morning the 9th of June we have a Full Moon falling in the fiery sign of Sagittarius opposing the Sun in Gemini. This Full Moon will appear as the smallest full moon of 2017, because it will occur when the moon is the farthest Full Moon from Earth. It’s been called the micro-moon and the mini-moon. To the Native Americans it is also called the Strawberry Moon.
This fiery Full Moon in Sagittarius is igniting passion and courage in our hearts for the journey that lies ahead. This is especially true when it comes to our deepest truth. Sagittarius is a lover of truth and genuineness, and during this Moon we are being called to rise to our truth and to live it bravely on the path that is unfolding in front of us. This Full Moon illuminates the conflict between logic (Gemini) and intuition/faith (Sagittarius). The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to sense and to think in a broader manner. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the here and now. Gemini however is quite comfortable in his or her immediate environment, while Sagittarius stimulates us to venture beyond it. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.
This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and our sense of adventure. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them.
Full Moons tend to make us release things from our lives, so we need to make sure that we are in control of this and no one is forcing our hand… Sometimes we can let go of things that we regret later, due to heightened emotions and impulsive reactions. The bright light of the Sun throws a spotlight on our Lunar demons. With this Full Moon… the shadow is extra dark and may bring up wounds where we have felt scarred or betrayed.
Watch for blunt communications during this Moon, as fiery Sagittarius can be more inclined to tell it like it is in a Very direct way. While speaking your truth during this time is highly advised, how it comes out can influence the relationships you have with people down the line. Speak your truth, but do so with love and kindness. Sudden fits of anger and general irritation are on the cards this Full Moon, be mindful.
The Sagittarian Moon… like the Archer that Sagittarius is symbolised by, is reminding us to take steady aim at what we are wanting for our future and to keep our eyes open and our aim focused. This isn’t a time for indecision or for scattering our energy. This is a time to move straightforward, to fix our sights and clarify our goals. Don’t pay attention or give into the chaos that can sometimes arise around us. This is the time of fixing our attention on what we are wanting and where we are moving towards.
This Full Moon may also be illuminating some areas where we have been seeking solutions for ongoing problems and may bring resolutions in these areas. The Sun is aspected to Pluto which is mirroring this energy and shining a light on our need to know, our need to dig up what is unknown and get to the bottom of things. Combine this with the Sagittarius Full Moon energy and it is making us truth seeking missiles when it comes to getting the information and answers that we need. This Moon is also reminding us to have faith in the outcome of what we are creating in our lives. Many of us have been in the process of clearing, sorting, deciding and clarifying for a long time. Asking for what we want and focusing on what we need to grow and move forward. We all need to trust, have faith and patience and remember our arrows will land where we are aiming if we just keep our eyes set on the goal.
This Full Moon forms a square with Neptune, and this energy might temp us to a detour from our goals. We should also watch out for untruths and misinformation. But this energy is also a time for opening ourselves up to new possibilities. As far as finalising plans on a big scale they should probably be saved for a later date. The Sun is at the midpoint of Mercury and Mars and trine to Jupiter, pointing to a real desire to understand or master a situation, but the square to Neptune and opposition to Saturn point to a possible block, obstacle, or to incomplete information or lack of readiness. We need to be mindful and watch for making quick decisions right now, but we also need to really pay close attention to what is being illuminated in our lives right now. This Full Moon is a bit of a balancing act with a feisty nature but has strong personal healing and positive moving forward oomph all at the same time. Remember to breathe!
The Full Moon falls on Thursday the 11th of May in the watery, emotional, mystical and transformative sign of Scorpio. With the Sun sitting in the opposite sign of Taurus it will be highlighting the opposing forces and polarities in our lives. The polarities that are highlighted during a Full Moon include our personal egos over our emotions and our needs over our wants.
The May Full Moon is also known as the Flower Moon and is the day set aside for celebrating Buddha’s birthday. The Flower Moon symbolises a time for us to blossom, to soak up the Sun’s rays and gather it’s strengthening energy, whilst shining the Flower Full Moon’s light into the deepest parts of our inner selves. Illuminating the darkness within allowing our awareness of the shadows to assist us in shedding our skin/persona as a form of rebirth and renewal.
The general astrology for this Full Moon is powerful and transformative with only one major planetary aspect being with Pluto, which adds a little heavy and serious energy but at the same time a very positive one. The aspect to Pluto brings in an energy allowing for positive transformations to occur in our lives.
Balancing the polarities of watery, deeply emotional Scorpio and laid back, earthy, ‘she’ll be right’ and stubborn Taurus can challenge us and add Inner tension, along with external pressures which can lead to personal conflicts… that can be very draining of our energy.
Emotions and instincts reach their peak at a Full Moon and this is a time to focus on our increased emotional strengths, using our intuition to overcome any challenges. Using this awareness, we can take an objective and balanced look at our personal relationships and we should be able to clearly see any relationship dynamics or negative feelings causing disharmony. From here we can work out ways to bring in balance and positive solutions.
There is some added positive karma connected to this Full Moon that we can tap into. Increased personal power can be used to take full advantage of any lucky breaks, good fortune, happiness and wealth coming our way.
Although there is positive energy for transformation on many levels with this Full Moon it will also bring in some very intense and deep experiences. Secrets and hidden motivations may be exposed and the truth may be surprising. Even though the initial surprise may be hurtful, it will quickly be understandable that it was meant to be.
Intense personal interactions may reveal exactly how we feel about someone during this time and also how they feel about us!!! Some relationships will evolve to a deeper level or some will be set free to move on.
Anything that is in a state of deterioration in our lives can be reborn now. This is a time to clear away clutter in our minds and our immediate environment. Scorpio Full Moon allows us a chance to delve into the darker side, the underworld, and get down to the real cause of any bad habits or addictions we cling to, then transform them into a positive light and eliminate any destructive behaviours. In fact, the Scorpio Full Moon offers us an opportunity to complete a major overhaul in many areas of our lives if we face up to the truth of what we need to clear away.
If our lives have felt in a state of constant struggle, we can use the positive energy of the Scorpio Full Moon to improve our lives by eliminating/transforming anything negative. But we need to be truthful with ourselves to allow this transformation to really take place. No hiding in the shadows of self disillusion.
If we are happy where life is taking us, then this is a good time to use our good fortune to help others. Sharing our positivity can transform someone’s life for the better. As the saying goes…. “Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty”
Tuesday the 11th of April…We have a Full Moon falling in the air sign of Libra. It is also known as the ‘Pink Moon’. Other names for the April Full Moon include Easter Moon, Egg Moon and Sprouting Grass Moon. The Moon actually does not appear pink, just as a blue moon isn’t really blue.
In the Northern hemisphere, it is Spring and the Pink Moon represents spring, rebirth and freshness. This is a time to freshen up and purify our lives…. a time to dust out the corners of our lives and make way for more breezy and loving winds of change.
Here in Australia, Summer has now ended and Autumn has begun. However, the Easter… Pink Full Moon is still taking on the properties of regeneration, freshness and rebirth.
This Full Moon in Libra is all about partnerships and balance, Libra is all about learning how to see both sides of the coin. Libra is the key and holder of balance ~ the scales!
When the Moon is in Libra, it is the perfect time to put ourselves in the shoes of someone else. Ask ourselves…How can we be more compassionate? How can help and be of service to the world in whole?
The last few months have been about setting goals and dreaming big. The Universe has been asking us to get clear about what we want, and about what we want the rest of the year to look and feel like.
Now however, the time has come to turn our attention onto others and onto a greater bigger worldwide mission. How can we help others and the world? How can we benefit all?
There is no right or wrong answer. In fact, the best way that we can help others and the world is by being true to our authentic selves. And to do this we first have to understand and love ourselves for who we are.
This Full Moon will also be guiding us to slow down and reflect on the bigger picture behind our goals, our dreams and wishes. Many of us have set goals but now it is time to step back, slow down and be patient. Now it is time to let the seeds sprout, allowing them to gently peek through the surface before bursting forth.
It is also a time of letting go of what has been holding us back. Facing the truth and owning up to whatever problems or issues that are troubling our lives right now. Reflecting on this will help lift any burdens on our lives… our health and shift us all in moving forward.
We all need to remember to be patient and gentle with ourselves and allow ourselves the time to process and release any persistent emotions. In fact, emotional energy will be high around the time of this Full Moon, so we all need to be kind and loving with ourselves and others.
The energy of change has been in the air, but change is necessary for growth and this April Full Moon will be helping all of us to grow and embrace the changes that have arrived now…. at the right time.
Trust and know that any changes that are happening are to push us out of our comfort zones into something bigger and better. While the April Full Moon does bring its challenges, and will be triggering us to grow, it also brings many, many rewards.
Monday the 13th of March… in the very early hours of the morning we have a Full Moon residing in the Earthy sign of Virgo. The energies are already building for this Full Moon and many will be feeling it.
This Full Moon is going to be an odd mix of balancing acts. We have planetary aspects with the Sun and Mercury in Pisces leaving us feeling wishy washy, hazy and unfocused… yet Virgo on the opposite pushes us to be focused, organised and thinking super quick on our feet. Huh! Yeah balance that one!!
This is the first Full Moon after two potent Eclipses that quite literally blasted many of us off our feet, it definitely at least pushed a lot of things to the forefront that need to be looked at. Many are still staring at that ‘ball of chaos’ in disbelief and bewilderment. With the Sun still in watery Pisces and many of us literally still recovering from the massive Pisces Eclipse blast…. we may find ourselves trying to summon the emotional energy to get going again. Feelings of fuzziness and fatigue may be plaguing many as we find the energy to balance again. The Virgo Full Moon should help with a little grounding and set us forward again.
We are reminded to watch our health both physically and emotionally at this time. This isn’t necessarily a tough crazy Full Moon but it can be a headache for some… like quite literally… Temporary headaches, annoyances, objections, and especially moodiness will be lingering about. This Full Moon may bring an intensification of recent tensions. Stressful relationships between partners in desperate search for answers may intensify.
These problems, if they arise can only be resolved by taking a deep look at the multifaceted issues involved. Intense emotional encounters looked at from within and from a heart space most always lead to positive transformations on the way to peace and harmony, if this is what you truly desire.
Virgo is typically the sign associated with thinking. Deep thinking/ hmmm… Over thinking! Virgo thinking is often self-critical, however when directed in the right way, Virgo thinking can be extremely enlightening. Virgo is symbolised by the virgin. This does not mean that Virgo energy is weak, vulnerable and innocent, in fact it is quite the very opposite.
Virgo energy is warrior energy. It represents strength and inner power. Virgo doesn’t need a man by her side, she has the power and strength to battle alone. Virgo comes into her strength by tapping into that inner warrior that lives inside of the heart, and soul. All of us have Virgo energy inside, we all have Virgo somewhere in our birth chart, so chances are we are all going to feel the feminine power and strength arising from this Full Moon.
It is time to enter the “Warrior” zone. Get up and leave the days of feeling sorry for ourselves or being the victim. Gone are the days of getting irritated by every challenge or setback that life has thrown in our paths. Gone are the days of resisting what the Universe is screaming at us to do to move forward.
It is time to step up. It is time to rise up and claim our power… but this is not about rising up to head off to war. Instead, this is about rising up deep inside ourselves, just for us. This is about finding that inner strength so we can heal, repair, nourish and reflect in whatever way we need to.
We are often bombarded with the fact that we need other people or relationships to complete us or that we need other people to be all these things for us… but the reality is that we complete ourselves. Yep, re-read that!
This Virgo Full Moon is going to be reminding us of this and it is going to be reminding us that our true strength and power comes from within. This is a time to find our strength and to know that our bodies, minds and souls are extremely powerful and capable of truly amazing things.
Virgo energy is also a perfect time to initiate self healing. If there is an area in our lives that needs to be healed whether it is physical, emotional or spiritual, this Full Moon will be giving us the tools to make it happen. This is the time to trust our instincts and see what arises, because chances are this Virgo Full Moon will show us the way and will show us where healing is required.
We may not have everything figured out over the coming weeks, that big ‘ball of change’ may still be totally overwhelming and staring straight back at us…. That’s ok … by simply remembering our own inner strength and our own inner power, we are on track… and if we are open, listening and looking for synchronicities… the path will start to become clearer.
Eclipses are the big bold bringers of change and are the most supercharged moments of the year. They usher in excitement and evolution, sometimes forcing our hand on situations we have been trying our best to ignore. During an eclipse, we are compelled to look forward, whether we are ready to or not. February might be a short month, but it will massive thanks to two extremely emotional eclipses (the first in dramatic Leo and another on the New Moon in sensitive Pisces). This month is bound to really push us forward for making the big changes we all have wanted or needed for some time. February is the month really go for it because there are only four Eclipses in total in 2017 (some years have as many as seven) and the other two aren’t until August.
It’s important to remember that change born out of an eclipse nearly always works out for the best. If you’ve wandered off the path, these astrological events will set you back on track. Eclipses act like doorways into different energy paths, and are powerful enough to transform, shift and change the direction and flow of your life. Lunar Eclipses are always viewed in astrology as being deeply transformative times that can bring abrupt and sudden change. While this is true, there is another side to Eclipses that is important to remember.
Eclipses are like the cosmic helping hand of the Universe. Imagine the energy of an Eclipse like a Universal hand that reaches down from the heavens picks you up and puts you where you need to be. This place may not be where you want to be, or may not be where you thought you would end up, but it is definitely where you need to be. Seeing that the Eclipse falls in the sign of Leo, there is going to be quite a fiery element to this Full Moon as well. This energy is going to help push things along but it is also going to provoke abrupt endings.
If something needs to be gone from your life, if something needs to come to an end, this Eclipse is going to set the wheels in motion. 2016 was very much a year of endings. Endings are necessary in order to make way for the new and this Lunar Eclipse is like the final purge of 2016.
Whatever you needed to let go of, whatever changes you needed to make, this Eclipse is going to ensure that it happens. For example, if you’ve been unhappy in your relationship for a long time, the eclipse could see you suddenly break loose. This might be painful at the time, but actually it’s freeing you up to find deeper love. This is why it’s best to be honest with yourself about what’s not working in any area of your life and preferably take action before the eclipse, rather than leaving it for the eclipse to force your hand!
So, with the first eclipse of the year taking place this weekend, now’s the time to act. This is a powerful eclipse, but it is also extremely magical and protective. Change will happen but it is definitely going to be change for the better. The energy of this Lunar Eclipse will last until August 2017 and will open a new gateway of energy that is productive, active and positive.
Leo represents the King of the jungle, so it is likely that this Eclipse energy will allow you to stand up and take ownership of your life so you can become the Queen or King of your own jungle. Leo is very proud and defends their ‘pride’ to the death, this is why family is so important to the Lion/Lioness. Family bonds and issues good or not so good, will come up during the Eclipse. Leos are very creative, so go get your creativity on in any way you can. It’s a great way to release as well as play, it is also very freeing to the mind to allow insights to come into focus.
As things are brought to the surface around the Eclipse, try to embrace it and remain open to whatever comes your way. Eclipses are powerful teachers and are like a direct calling card from the Universe as to what we need to release from our lives and what we need to bring into our lives. Listen and tune in to your intuition and heart space…. What do you truly desire, what will fulfill you and make you happy?
This Eclipse marks the first for the year and is going to be an incredibly powerful and magical guiding force. Trust whatever unfolds and know that it is all for a much higher purpose. Every single Full Moon brings us a chance to forgive, let go and move on. You can forgive yourself and others, no matter how long ago they hurt you. The Full Moon is the time to release resentment, make amends, find peace and say sorry.
The Eclipse this Saturday is like the Full Moon on steroids, so it’s vital you don’t miss this opportunity. The pentagram formation of this February Eclipse is going to ensure that our lives are put into perfect balance and symmetry. It is also going to ensure that we have the tools we need to move forward into 2017 with confidence and a fresh perspective.
Being the first Full Moon for the year, this Cancer Moon is going to be highlighting part of the journey that we are destined to take in the next 12 months. It is also going to be calling on us to step into our truth and embrace that inner power that we all have inside.
During a Full Moon, the Moon is sitting opposite the Sun and is fully illuminated as it reflects the light of the Sun. So, with this Full Moon we have the Moon sitting in Cancer and the Sun sitting in the opposite sign of Capricorn.
The Moon & the Sun emanate frequencies and these energy waves influence the tides, and all life forms on Earth, including human behaviour and consciousness. In addition, during a Full Moon both the Moon & Sun are opposing each other on opposite sides of the zodiac as mention… and this can make for a challenging or intense aspect of energy but also a very potent potential as the Lunar and Solar energies (yin & yang) are in natural harmonic balance.
The Moon represents the past, Intuition, our unconsciousness, emotions, nurturing and our feelings. Sitting in Cancer it represents nurturing, family, sensitivity, emotions, moodiness and our psychic intuitions.
The Sun represents the now, our identity, consciousness, self esteem and expression. Sitting in Capricorn it represents practicality, realism, reliability, hard work and cautiousness.
The Full Moon in watery Cancer will mean that emotions will be running very high but if channeled wisely this will be a perfect opportunity to gain deep intuitive insight into our own personal themes for 2017. We need to question…. what do we envision, feel and imagine for ourselves for 2017 and what do we need to let go of in order to birth to this vision? Maybe we should all allow the Sun in the practical sign of Capricorn bring to light what is felt deep within our Hearts and Souls.
When the Moon sits in Cancer, the focus is on family and the home environment. We may feel a sudden urge to de-clutter, smudge, finish those odd jobs and generally make our homes more nurturing to our families. Generally, our hearts are pulled to nurture and provide a homely sanctuary for our loved ones… or maybe spicing up the bedroom and spending time with the one you love. Either way there will be a calling to nest and find peace in the comfort and security of our homes.
The energy during this Full Moon is amplified due to a Grand Cross formation that is preparing to take shape in the sky on the very same night. This Grand Cross formation indicates high energy and tension, but it is not to be feared. When something is placed under high energy and tension its strength is tested and we are able to see what needs to be fixed, changed or updated.
This Grand Cross energy has been building for some time and is part of a much bigger cycle that is playing out over the course of the next few years. In fact, watching the planets closely it is almost like they are planning something, it is almost like they are whispering secrets to each other in order to create a revolution.
Revolutionary energy has been in the works for some time, and this January Full Moon is almost going to be planting the seed for this energy to grow over the coming years. This is not just revolution in our own lives, but also in the world at large. In order to create a revolution, the darkness has to rise to the surface. The darkness in all of us and in the world has to be bought out into the light for us to see. It is only then that we can realise the truth of what is before us.
Even though a feeling of pressure or tension maybe high during this Full Moon, it is likely that nothing will rise to the surface just yet. Instead, we will most likely feel a slow building of energy that will then peak around Eclipse season next month. It will be at this time that we are able to see what is cracking under pressure and what needs to go and what needs to stay. This is the perfect time to also sit back and relax and allow the Universe to take the lead.
2016 forced us to do a lot of processing and clearing, but with this Full Moon and the energy of 2017 we don’t have to work quite as hard. All we need to do is sit back and watch which direction the Universe wants us to go.
The energy of this Grand Cross is also going to be triggering heated emotions around the Full Moon. This is definitely an emotional Full Moon and we may be feeling or processing a lot of emotions around this time. If we feel emotions bubbling up, we need to allow ourselves to release them and understand that they may not all belong to us.
If you are sensitive to the world around you, your emotions may feel overwhelming and simply bigger than just you. If this occurs, be gentle with yourself and give yourself time to process, rest and restore. Empaths will need to very gentle with themselves and watch their energy levels… and who they surround themselves with. A personal energy field would not go astray and a little Black Tourmaline! In fact for most of us simply carrying our favourite crystal will help to protect our energy and keep our spirits lifted.
This Full Moon is definitely an interesting one to kick off 2017. It indicates that this year is a time of growth and change. It indicates that this is the year we lay down our roots for the revolution, for the revolution that we want to create in our own lives.
Remember…. we are all powerful beings of love and light…. and inside of us we all have an innate wisdom that is there to guide us through whatever issues may arise. Trust your intuition during this time, allow the energies to wash over you and guide you. Embrace them, because when you do, you will see just how perfectly everything is unfolding.
The 14th of December we have a Full Moon falling in the airy sign of Gemini which is also another Supermoon. As with all Full Moons the Moon is opposite the Sun, so we have a balancing act between Sagittarius and Gemini at play. There are also some strong planetary aspects creating what is called a mystic rectangle, with the Moon and Sun opposite each other along with Saturn and Jupiter opposing that forms a planetary rectangle in the sky. This Full Moon focuses our attention on relationships of all kinds and it also has a relationship to the previous New Moon… to what we were feeling at that time.
The Saturn influences may bring up bad moods and distance in relationships but there are many more positive aspects than challenging ones with the formation of the mystic rectangle configuration, although it suggests tension and conflict, it also gives us ways to resolve that conflict.
Whatever has been buried beneath the surface of our lives has most likely come to a head in the last few months and this last Supermoon is going to bring us to the final point of release and illumination for 2016.
This brings powerful energy which is going to help us purge all that we need to let go of so we can welcome in the new energy of 2017 with open arms and a fresh positive perspective. In regards to the mystic rectangle, just as the name suggests, mystic rectangles are magical and mystical and will be adding a super charge of energy. 2016 has been a heavy year of endings and letting go, whereas 2017 is a year that is set to be full of new beginnings and fresh starts. This Full Moon is going to be one of our final assessment points where we can review what we have learned this year, and what we are going to be bringing with us into the new cycle.
If there is energy we are still processing, if there are issues that are still coming up for us, they may carry through into the new cycle of 2017 unless we make a conscious effort to transcend them now. We still have time to release and let go of the things that we no longer desire to bring with us into the New Year. In fact, we really have up to March 2017 to really release and let go, however after this Full Moon, the energy to release will grow dimmer and dimmer. If we still need to shed old patterns, if we really feel a desire to release and let go, and desire to transform into our absolute and fullest potential, then the Universe will offer us just that… under the power of the mystic rectangle. This is like a portal opening and granting us a fast track. This fast track will allow us to shed things quickly and to release them quickly. Use it wisely!
This Gemini Full Moon is busy and full of energy. Those sensitive to the cycles of the Moon are definitely going to be feeling this one big time. Remember, we should all be gentle with ourselves during this time and give ourselves plenty of space to fully reflect and release. We should all work on nourishing ourselves under this Full Moon and enjoy the amazing illuminating energy it brings.
As the lunar qualities of emotions and instincts reach their peak at the Full Moon, we can take an objective and balanced look at our personal relationships. Being in touch with our own needs and intentions, and those of others, we should clearly see any relationship imbalances causing us disharmony and work to heal them.
This Gemini Full Moon also falls in a busy the sky astrologically speaking. There are seven fixed stars within the range of the Full Moon. Most of these stars are big first magnitude stars. Together they make this a fortunate Full Moon and reinforce the idea of a peaceful outcome.
With the Full Moon aspect to Saturn may make us feel sad, bored or lonely. Difficulty in sharing our emotions can lead to distance in relationships. Conscious awareness of this influence will help us to avoid longer term serious consequences. We may feel burdened or guilty about responsibilities for someone much older or younger, like a child or grandchild, parent or grandparent. We could be feeling sorry for ourselves but we should remember not to bring others down by guilt tripping or moping.
The Jupiter aspect to Uranus complicates those depressing feelings by exaggerating our need for personal freedom and excitement. We may feel a strong urge to react, or rebel against anything that is stopping us from having fun and doing what WE want. There may be a sudden event that releases a build up tension and leads to a major change in circumstances. The more restricted we have felt, the more upsetting this change could be.
However the Full Moon aspect to Jupiter gives us a warm fuzzy feeling. Having virtually the opposite effect of the Full Moon opposite to Saturn, it makes it easier for us to share our emotions with loved ones. Intimate relationships will benefit from more openness and honesty. The Full Moon aspect to Uranus brings stimulating encounters and exciting events. We may feel more open to change in our lives and may actively seek it out. Uranus will help break the limiting chains of Saturn, allowing us to try something new in our personal lives. The Jupiter aspect to Saturn favours cautious expansion with many opportunities for growth on offer.
The biggest thing to remember is that this Full Moon brings transition to our lives. This is the ideal time to make positive changes in our lives and the stars should allow this to all run smoothly. Remember…..We need to be gentle to ourselves, to come from a place of love, then we can all usher in a fresh new positive energy for 2017….
Love and blessings to all for the final Full Moon of 2016.
Monday the 14th of November we have a Full Moon falling in the Earthy sign of Taurus. This Full Moon is also a Supermoon and the biggest Supermoon we have had for 68 years as the Moon is at its closest point to the Earth since 1948. With this closeness of the two heavenly bodies the energies of this Full Supermoon are intensely magnified.
With the Full Moon Supermoon in the Earthy sign of Taurus we find the Sun in the opposite sign of Watery Scorpio. That means we’re going to see and feel a weighty balancing act between the need for security (Taurus) vs… the desire (Scorpio) for something more. It will be an interesting tug of war that doesn’t come with an easy answer. As both Taurus and Scorpio are ‘fixed’ signs and are literally very fixed in their ways.. neither energy will wish to budge, so compromise will be difficult. Of course eventually, they will but not before making their feelings well and truly known
In the dark waters of Scorpio we’re compelled to look below the surface, probe taboos and search for truths. In these deep secret places, distrust breeds as fast as our fears. Ruled by Pluto, Scorpio is conscious of the concept of power, specifically who has it and who doesn’t. Scorpio also relates to sex, the little death, the ‘I’ll die if I don’t have them‘, extremes that love and lust can take us to. Taurus however doesn’t bat an eyelid. It’s blissfully happy with a roll in the hay followed by a delicious meal or vice versa. Emotionally though…we need a break from the complexity of Scorpio and to create some stability and simplicity through Taurus.
Or we can look at it another way…. The Taurus side of the story (The Moon) will be urging us to stay in a place of stability and comfort. Taurus is saying…. “Come over here where it’s safe. You’ll feel so warm and comfy snuggled up with me.” Taurus wants nothing to do with fears and repressive thoughts. Taurus wants to relax, have no worries, simple pleasures and feel good. “Pick me” says Taurus…. I’m the most practical choice.
Then we have Scorpio, the polar opposite (The Sun)… Scorpio is a little more daring and tantalizing in the approach. Scorpio energy is all about desire and wants. Scorpio whispers “It’s ok to step outside the safety zone . You know you want nothing more than to do so.” Scorpio wants us to play with things that we suppress … like fear and desire. Scorpio isn’t scared of the dark. Scorpio craves it and secretly enjoys pushing the boundaries.
With this balancing act and the temptations pushing and pulling us this Full Supermoon it’s time to consider what we hold most precious, what really matters to us. Even with the opposing Sun in Scorpio spotlighting the profound transformation we are going through, this is a time when we can let go of control and simply surrender to the moment. We all feel empowered when we simply enjoy the present, not mourning the past or dreading the decisions of our futures. We’re stronger when we let go of the toxic need to be drawn into intrigues and power plays.
This Moon is a leveler that brings us back home to ourselves and our physical body. The world out there can wait… says Taurus. Be patient. And… Reconnect with Mother Earth!!!!! Slow down. Stop and smell the roses. Get grounded and get real. With pleasure loving Venus as ruler of Taurus, this is a beautiful time to indulge in our senses by stimulating them with sights, scents, tastes and sounds. A time to pay attention to how our bodies feel and allow ourselves to have a little of what we fancy… Let go for a little while, chill, relax and be a little indulgent. Or, sometimes the best thing we can do is nurture ourselves with good home-cooked food, a massage or a snuggle on the couch.
Whilst there’s a place for the deep psycho-analysis of Scorpio, there is also the need to be able to support ourselves through practical means. All the inner soul searching in the world and over indulging won’t put food on the table and pay the bills. These are some of the things Taurus is also concerned with. This is a time to consider what we need in order to bring more stability in our lives by building a sense of security, both financially and emotionally. Taurus Moon is a time to organise our finances and do the damn boring accounts. Have a look at what resources we have available around ourselves. A time to ask ourselves the question….. Is our self esteem at a healthy level or could it do with some healing work? Low self esteem can generate poverty consciousness as well as a poor bank account. Taurus reminds us that the Earth is abundant and that security starts from within.
This Taurean Full Supermoon asks us to look around ourselves, ask… what holds special meaning to us? Remind ourselves that we are worthy of the gifts life brings. Look at what enriches us on many levels and realise we are already abundant in many, many ways!!!
October 16th we have a Super Full Moon falling in the fiery energy sign of Aries. Aries energy is feisty and independent. Aries is also a leader and warrior. This Super Full Moon holds a lot of warrior energy. We may find that is there are areas in our lives that we you need to stand up for, or someone we need to stand up to, we just may find that this Full Moon fully supports us to do just that.
On one side, we have the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Libra, the sign of harmony, beauty and partnership. On the other side of the zodiac, we have the Full Moon and Uranus in Aries, the sign of independence, courage, taking action and asserting oneself in the world. One sign is about cooperation, coming together and finding common ground. The other sign is about the need to go it alone, so this Full Moon holds a variety of contrasts.
Many of us have been clearing out the old and wounded aspects of our lives so the new can emerge. It is has almost been like a death and rebirth cycle where we have been digging up the past and healing old wounds in order to welcome in the new. This may continue for the rest of the year however, we have definitely have shifted into the rebirthing stage. This Super & Feisty Full Moon will give us all a much needed push forward in this direction.
This next lunation cycle is going to be about taking action and actually putting our foot down on what we are willing to stand for and what has to come to an end. If there is some action we need to take in our lives, if there is something that has been nagging at us for quite some time, this Super Full Moon may just give us that final push to actually stand up and do something about it.
While Aries is all about being a leader, its ego can also be easily wounded if not aware. Due to the supercharged energy of this Super Full Moon, it is going to be important to keep our egos in check and try not to take things personally. Take a little side step and chill if Miss or Mister Ego comes knocking…
Some interesting aspects to this Super Full Moon include the Moon conjunct to Uranus. This can brings subconscious impulsiveness. Sudden events may result in relationship upsets, family disputes or a major change in direction in a partnership of some kind. Other changes may include primal urges such as appetite and sleeping patterns being erratic. The Sun also opposes Uranus which may pull the Full Moon to bring unexpected and exciting encounters or events into normal life. Adapting to sudden changes requires extra effort, and can leave our nerves frazzled. Some unexpected and quite possibly unwanted changes may manifest within us, through a partner, or through an external event. Some possibly could be upsetting and bring up resistance but they may offer a better way to move forward if we can keep an open mind and level head.
Mars and Mercury both create aspects to Pluto which can bring up threats, ultimatums, and danger which may force change around our personal journeys. These aspects may fire up our ambitions, sex drive and lust for power. This Full Moon’s aspects can lead to deep thinking and intense interactions with other people. On a positive note, this can be a great time to work independently on something that we are passionate about.
This Full Moon will be guiding us to stand up for ourselves and to stand up for what we truly believe in. It will also be helping us to express ourselves and what we want for our lives moving forward.
We need to be prepared that whatever emotions have been bubbling away on the inside may come spilling out with this Full Moon energy, so we all should be prepared to do some serious soul cleansing. Releasing emotionally is sometimes the most therapeutic thing we can do for ourselves, instead of spewing out raw emotions we can funnel this energy to express ourselves through creative projects.
This Super Aries Full Moon has strong, passionate and super fiery energy. We can grab hold of and use this energy to take a leap forward in our lives. This is the time to step up into our powerful inner warrior energy and take the direction we wish to move our lives forward on our journeys…
September the 17th brings us a Partial Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the watery sign of Pisces. This will be the final Eclipse of 2016 and it happens to coincide with the Harvest Moon – something we’re not going to see again until 2024.
The Eclipse will be visible in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. The Eclipse is expected to last for about 3 hours as the Moon passes through Earth’s outer – or ‘penumbral’ – shadow.
For East Coast Australia from Sydney to Brisbane the maximum viewing time is around 4:54 AM on Saturday 17 September 2016, although you can begin to watch from just before 3am.
A Lunar Eclipse provides a wonderful opportunity to move within your Shadow Self and illuminate any deeply buried wounds, hurts, pain or fears and to bring the unconscious into the conscious realm. From this sacred place of illumination, this Piscean Lunar Eclipse offers us an opportunity to the release deep seated wounds, move beyond old fears and to transcend negative patterns or traits. It is time to ‘Eclipse’ anything that is holding us back.
The Piscean Lunar Eclipse amplifies our intuition, gifts us insight through our dreams and deeply inspires us. It also provides a catalyst to let go, release out-dated beliefs and transmute aspects of self that are no-longer in alignment with our journey. During the Piscean Full Moon, the moon is reflecting the light of the Sun in Virgo. You maybe tempted at this time to try and ‘see’ or find logic answers through Virgo Sun, however the Pisces Moon is asking you to ‘let go of control’ and just allow the dream to unfold in its own good time.
This Lunar Eclipse in Pisces can be likened to an emotional high tide. Our emotions will be on high intensity and we may find the waves of the high tide battering us against the shore on an emotional level. With a tight aspect to Chiron fueling the emotional sensitivity, we are very open to feeling hurt… as Pisces leaves us wide open in this area.
Mars brings in another aspect to this Full Moon Eclipse which may find us with our defenses totally down. This may not be such a bad things as it will force us to really look within and feel what is wounding us so deeply. Nobody likes to dive into the depths of our deep wounds and we all try most of the time to avoid looking. However this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces wants us to really walk towards them, to be brave, step forward… We need to look and accept the wounds to truly heal them on a deeper level.
This Full Moon is here to remind us that all answers lie within and not to push for all we desire to be made manifest immediately. There is a divine plan here, allow things to blossom in divine timing. Pisces also brings us inspiration to open ourselves to our gifts and to anchor them here on the Earthly plane. This is a time to take ownership and acknowledge your divine magnificence and shine brightly from within.
Come from Love and remove all judgment of what is being shown to you during this Full Moon.
Bright Blessings for this Lunar Eclipse…. She is offering all of us the opportunity to Eclipse our limitations from a place of Love… As LOVE is all there is ♡
Thursday the 18th of August we have a Full Moon falling in the sign of Aquarius. It is also an Eclipse…. one of a series of three, with the remaining two eclipses occurring in September. There is a bit of debate over this one, with some calling it a penumbral lunar eclipse and others saying it is just shy of meeting eclipse criteria. Either way, it’s going to be buzzing!!
Aquarius is the sign of the weird and quirky, being ruled by unorthodox Uranus. Uranus in the martial sign of Aries is the freedom fighter, asserting individual rights and pushing the pack against conformity. Uranus is retrograding, highlighting the fight for our right to fly our freak flags which has now become an inner focus rather than something we project out to the world.
There are quite a few aspects to this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius which can be a little opposing to each other. Just briefly… There is an aspect between the eclipsed Moon, Mercury and Jupiter. This aspect is hard but thankfully short-lived. It can make us feel like not doing the things we need to do, like letting go..!! Which is just what Eclipses are all about. With this aspect which is short lived thankfully, it is good for us to try to do as little as possible until that feeling subsides.
Then we flip into Mercury which is conjunct Jupiter in Virgo…. this is a very talkative position, new ideas are waiting to be born but we need to let go of old ways of thinking before something new is born. An old pattern of doing things has to change now so we can move into new energy and try to be the change we are looking for in our world.
During Full Moon Eclipses we don’t typically have a choice how something is changing especially if we have been holding off making a change we know we need. Something outside of us will become the instrument of change.
During the Eclipse it is time we let go of the things that are holding us back so we can step into our independence, our need for freedom and on a global level…social change. We have a serious amount of releasing to do and one way can be by writing out what you want to release. Once you have these things written out you can safely burn them and feel those stresses begin to release. Whether we like it or not changes are rolling through our lives like a thunderstorm. We might take cover if it feels bad enough or we might go outside and dance in the rain, taking our chances not to get hit by lightning. It truly doesn’t matter which choice you make because both choices are correct.
Most people do not like change because there is that unknown quality to it, many of us tend to stay in a bad situation then make a change that leads to the unknown and all those unanswered questions. A lot of people live in fear of this. But the Eclipses push us forward, poking and prodding us to take much needed steps to move us forward. Eclipses can feel unstable and conscious releasing can be a challenge with this Eclipse so, we all need to do our best to follow our hearts and let go of the things that we are holding on to the hardest.
Wednesday the 20th of July The Full Moon ripens in the Earthy sign of Capricorn. It is said that this Full Moon is going to send us all a beam of self-love, which will brings us the confidence and strength we need to create the lives of our dreams.
July for most has been a month of rest and self-care and the Capricorn Full Moon is only going to amplify this even more.
Earlier this month we had a very gentle New Moon in the emotional and watery sign of Cancer. This New Moon was the first breath of fresh air we have had out of the cycle of deep inner digging and cleansing of the past.
Now that the cleansing part of the cycle is finished, well at least most of it…. the cosmos is now guiding us to turn our attention to accepting what is and simply just loving ourselves.
If you have been burning yourself out, if you have been ignoring the warning; if you have been pushing ahead without any consideration for your true feelings, this Full Moon is going to gently remind you about the importance of balancing your energy. The Capricorn Full Moon is very gently going to hold out its hand and remind you to slow down and think a little more practically and methodically before moving forward. The Capricorn Full Moon will provide for you a place to rest if you need it.
During this time, your subconscious thoughts and feelings are also going to be illuminated. Mother Moon is going to shine a light from within and guide you to become clearer about what it is that you want to achieve moving forward.
If July’s New Moon was all about emotions, July’s Full Moon is all about grounded practicality. It is about honouring your emotions but also leaving room to make practical decisions that are based in logic and truth. Balancing these aspects and making sure there is room for both in our lives, are going to help us to move forward on our highest paths.
There has been a lot of confused and stagnant energy floating around in the cosmos in recent months and now things are starting to shift and become clearer.
As these shifts occur, we are going to feel a little all over the place and perhaps even pulled or pushed in a different direction. We may even feel nothing, and be left wandering around to figure out where to go next.
No matter what you are feeling, remember that this Full Moon is all about making practical decisions on what you want your life to look like. It is about getting clear on the best way to move forward in order to achieve the life you desire. We have all been releasing and letting go of things, and now it is time to think about what we want to harvest for the months to come.
July’s Full Moon is the perfect time to sit down and work out what emotions you want to create in your own life. Joy, happiness, laughter, adventure, whatever it is, write it down and begin shaping your life around them. There is power in our thoughts and affirmations.
We all have the power to co-create our realities and with the ambitious energy of this Capricorn Full Moon, we are all going to be given an blank canvas and paints to create our masterpieces with.
If you are unhappy with the shape and direction of your life, this Full Moon will also help you to develop the confidence and belief that you need to make some changes. It may also bring to your attention things that are no longer working for you or self-limiting thoughts that are blocking you from achieving the life that you truly desire. If life has been flowing smoothly, this Full Moon may also bring some new, wonderful opportunities particularly when it comes to careers or education.
July comes as a reminder that the most important thing we can do for ourselves is to love and accept ourselves exactly as we are. It also comes as a reminder that when we truly love ourselves and believe in ourselves, there is nothing we can’t achieve.
If you are in doubt about where to turn on this Full Moon, turn within, for that is where all the answers are buried inside of you, like little sparkling jewels just waiting to be found.
In some ways, this Full Moon will not be stirring up any new energy; it will simply be extending on and magnifying the energy that occurred during the Full Moon phase in May. Wherever we need to be focused in our lives this Full Moon will be shining its light deep into areas like never before, and will offer us guidance to understanding our truth.
There will be no escaping from the light of this Full Moon, Grandmother Moon will illuminate many areas of our inner darkness and it is likely that we may start feeling vulnerable, raw and exposed as the Moon becomes brighter building up to this Full Moon. Being vulnerable sometimes helps to reveal to us who we really are. Being vulnerable helps us to step up into our true potential. Being vulnerable breaks down walls we may have built up to shield ourselves from looking inside ourselves.
This Full Moon says …no more hiding. No more can we live in the shadows, it is time to face the shadows, without shadows there is no light…This June Sagittarian Full Moon is calling on us to step into our truest, highest selves. It is likely that we will feel a calling to stand up for our beliefs and values surrounding this Full Moon. We may feel quite vocal and driven to express ourselves. Ensure speaking up comes from the heart and not the ego during this lunar phase.
Whatever our higher purpose is on this earth, whatever we have been sent here to change or bring to the world; whatever we have been sent here to heal, will be amplified in our hearts and in our minds. June’s Full Moon will bring a strength of helping us to stand up for ourselves, for our rights and stand up for what we believe in. We may see this on a global scale, or we may simply see and feel it within the depths of our souls.
With Mars, the planet of action still in retrograde we are still going to have to take a slow and methodical approach to going after what it is that we desire. While this may feel frustrating, especially seeing as the Moon will illuminate our deepest passions and desires, encouraging us to move towards our goals…. we just have to trust in the process even if it feels to be taking a slow course.
Whatever inner passion is stirred within us is likely to be the direction that we will follow once Mars returns to its former pace and speed at the end of the month. June’s Sagittarian Full Moon is all about steering us into the next chapter of our journey. It will help us to see and realise who we truly are, and what is the next step in our part of our purpose in this life. We all have a higher purpose. A reason we chose for being on planet Earth during this time. No matter what your destiny on this planet, this Full Moon is going to help reveal more of that journey to you.
Pay attention to any thoughts, dreams, feelings or desires that come up during this time. Pay attention to any burning fires or passions that are being stirred within. Pay attention to where you feel called. Follow your intuition. As we draw closer to eclipse season, there is going to be quite a big shift energetically that we have all been building up to. This shift is going to help us to step into who we truly are.
We need to think bigger than just who ‘we’ are during this Full Moon. This Full Moon calls for a global vision, to think bigger, to think more expansively. This Full Moon is calling on us to take a stand for all that we believe in. It is time to step out of the shadows and stand up. It is time to get real with ourselves!!
Sunday the 22nd of May we have a Full Moon ripening in the fiery sign of Sagittarius… Let’s just say this is quite a frisky Full Moon to say the least. Not only is it in a fire sign, but it is also conjunct a flaming Mars Retrograde. Shifting from the phase of the Scorpionic underground, we burst out onto the wild plains of Sagittarius, this is a fresh and urgent place for the Moon, but at the same time it is not completely blindly impulsive. The Moon here is swift, graceful and to the point.
The Full Moon is likely to be competitive, but in a less physical manner than you would expect from the sign of Sagittarius. Scorpio’s influence is still fresh, with its shadowy watery energies and the combination will bring up a mix of ooky spooky and watch your back kind of feelings. If it feels and smells of ‘No Good’, trust your instincts over this Full Moon period because it most likely is ‘No Good’. Trickery and deception may be about. There also could be a bit of venom in the air, anger, paranoia and emotional flashbacks.
At this Full Moon we need to have a target to aim for with our poison arrows. We don’t want that venom flying all over the place! Without a specific aim, the imagination and infinite, magical possibilities of this Full Moon are wide open for corruption. We will need to blinker our Sagittarius horse and keep focused.
In June, we also have a Full Moon in Sagittarius. Having two Full Moons in the same sign is very rare and indicates that whatever May’s Full Moon manifests in our lives is likely to be incomplete until June’s Full Moon. This means that around the 22nd of May we are going to get a glimmer of the cycle that is unfolding for us, and what lesson this Full Moon has come to instill in our lives.
The real harvest for this Full Moon will come in June, which means that May is all about looking and assessing what you need to pay more attention to.
If you feel like you have been taking one step forward and two steps back, if what you have planted is failing to grow, the Universe may present you with an opportunity around this time to either change your strategy or let the idea go altogether.
Perhaps around this Full Moon you may have to let go of ideas, dreams, wishes or plans that you have been holding onto and think about renegotiating your ideas. It may not make sense to you just yet, but perhaps there is a better way for you to move forward that you are yet to discover. If you are open and willing to surrender, over the next month you will be guided to the perfect path.
Just one day after this Full Moon peaks, Mercury will start going direct. Before Mercury goes direct however, he stations or stands still. Wherever Mercury chooses to stand in your life will be a powerful point of consideration and one that may need your attention.
Mercury is the planet of communication and when he is retrograde he tends to reveal a truth in our lives that we may not have noticed. Mercury’s truth may be delivered to you in the form of delays, miscommunications or setbacks, but know that these are all ways that Mercury shows you the cracks that need to be fixed.
Because Mercury direct and this Full Moon happen so closely together, it is likely that we will start to see the bigger picture behind all of this retrograde energy that has been occurring in the Universe since April 2016.
Essentially, this Full Moon is going to activate a lot of the retrograde energy that has been swimming around, which will help you to see the shape of where it is all leading you. We may not have the full picture until the end of June, but for those paying attention, May’s Full Moon will definitely start guiding you in the right direction.
Mars and Venus, the two cosmic lovers also feature heavily in this Full Moon. This may cause a lot of heat and anger, but also passion and spontaneity. During this Full Moon, both Venus and Mars are going to be having strong words with each other and you may see this manifest in your relationships with others and the relationship that you have with your self.
These planets together may also stir things that were brewing around mid-April 2016, so if there are lingering thoughts and feelings from this time, particularly in matters of romance, this Full Moon may activate them to be cleared once and for all.
If there have been weak points in your romantic relationship, you may also find that this Full Moon highlights them to you and encourages you to address them. Just be mindful you think carefully about what you say, as the heated energy of this Full Moon may cause you to say something that you may later regret.
We all have Venus and Mars energy inside of us, so whether you are in a relationship or not, both these planets will also be helping us to communicate and reveal and truth inside of ourselves. Venus will be helping us to unlock our creativity and see where we need to nurture ourselves more, and Mars will be helping us to drive action and energy into an area of our lives that needs attention.
May’s Full Moon is definitely interesting but will only reveal half the picture. The rest will follow leading up to June’s Sagittarian Full Moon.
This Full Moon will be hot and heavy, but this will help to show us which way we need to move forward. If you get a little push by this Full Moon, trust and watch the direction it takes you in.
Friday the 22nd April brings us a Full Moon in the sign of Scorpio, this full Moon also falls on Earth Day for 2016… A time to heal and resonate with our dear Mother Earth. This will also be the smallest Full Moon for the year and is know as the Native American Pink Moon. The smallest Full Moon however does not refer to lessening the depth in any way of it’s Scorpio intensity.
A Scorpio Full Moon brings up hidden desires, of the mysteries that lie deep beneath. She asks us to surrender to the deep wisdom within and shed the layers to bring true inner transformation. She asks us to shine light into the shadows of ourselves and look where we may be avoiding dealing with our personal shadows.
This also brings up our relationships on all levels and asks us to look deeply within these areas along with our own personal growth and evolution. This can bring us a wake up/shake up, breakdown/breakthrough energy and it may play out in our relationships, financial situations, in our value system and more. There is a hint of rebellion in this Full Moon which may make us feel somewhat dark and stormy.
This is not a Full Moon to act on impulse as it may boil up with anger, resentment with intensity. This Scorpio Full Moon warns us to Steer clear of power & control dynamics with others and to use this potent energy to dig deep and get to the root of things.
A Scorpio Full Moon drives us in to the mysterious depths of ourselves. We must remember that the dark has power, and that can be daunting…., but she also offers us a promising light within for deep change and renewal.
If we find ourselves struggling with an issue, this is the time to ask for clear messages, listen from the heart and from here we can transform it.
Full Moons are revelatory, and Scorpio looks into the hidden and this is one for seeing the energetics of an issue. It might be one that has a psychic hold, whose roots take time and courage to dig it out. This may call for extreme measures and Scorpio’s psychic-emotional power is both to be feared and respected.
Releasing something at this Full Moon can feel massive… like it’s final, no turning back. Scorpio is often called the all-or-nothing sign. If you risk it, and surrender, the rewards are big.
So let’s all dive deep into the watery depths of Scorpio, dive deeper, look within the dark caves, feel, transform and then find the shining crystals… Push up from the depths and bring them into the light.
The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse falls in the sign of Libra Wednesday the 23rd of March for us here in Australia. The theme for this Libran Lunar Eclipse is along the lines of…. “Ready or not, the winds of change are a blowing”.
All Eclipses bring the unexpected and force us into action and we all need to remember that change can be a good thing. Eclipses fall four to six times a year and they like to turn things upside down. Lunar Eclipses give us a glimpse into the “shadow self.” We all want to think of ourselves as good and kind people, but… be honest… we are also human. What we discover about ourselves and others during Lunar Eclipses can be confronting and sometimes upsetting. But… this gives us the opportunity to embrace our unique wholeness and that of others, and see where we have the opportunity to grow.
The Libra Full Moon brings relationships into focus. Relationships require a balancing act based on compromise, setting boundaries, being respectful, while standing in our power and that is a lot to juggle. This not only includes relationships with other people, but how we relate to everything around us. With the Libra Full Moon consider reviewing relationships between you and nature, your health, food, addictions, and of course other people.
Unlike recent moon phases, this Lunar Eclipse in Libra is pretty straight forward. There are no complicated major aspects to planets or asteroids excluding Mercury opposite the Lunar Eclipse, and the Sun conjunct Mercury opposite the Moon. The major theme will be about thinking and communications.
The opposition with Mercury may bring up emotional bias, polarized thinking or a communication imbalance. This applies to our own thought processes and how we communicate. It may affect the dynamics of our relationships, and also debates and negotiations between groups of people. The Mercury opposition to the Lunar Eclipse additionally adds feeling and intuition to the unemotional and rational Sun Mercury conjunction. This may complicate our thought processes like decision making and planning because of scrambled or unbalanced thinking. Our everyday routines and conversations may cause us some stress and confusion because of emotional bias or our basic lack of understanding with others.
Indecision can come up when we are forced to make decisions quickly. During Eclipses it is always best waiting a week or so before making major decisions or taking drastic action… allow the eclipse energy to settle first.
In regards to our relationships, this Mercury opposition may manifest as arguments between the (archetypal) logical man and emotional woman. In political debates, the polarization of ideas will become more extreme and more emotionally charged.
Eclipses have a way of demanding attention. There can be sudden changes in plans. If you’ve got plans in the works, then time frames may be accelerated. This type of eclipse may create sudden endings. With the eclipse in Libra, as mentioned the spotlight is on relationships, marriages, partnerships, business, or any one on one relationship. Watch what is coming up without fear or judgment. Simply observe what is taking place, and go with the flow. The Universe is pushing us forward and the rapid progress may be exhilarating and scary.. it can feel just like riding a roller coaster.
With the Moon ruling tribes, clans, habits and primal instincts, other influences on our thinking may include addiction, racism and prejudice. Try to spend some quite time in reflection with yourself, or connecting with like minded friends expressing some of your inner feelings which you sense may be holding you back. In turn allow those close to you to do the same.
Impartial Mercury sits conjunct with the Sun, so rational thinking and logic should rule over our feelings and instincts. This applies to our decision making, planning, and relationships issues. Perhaps even common sense will, or at least should prevail. This aspect also increases our mental activity and the amount of interaction with others. Thinking, reading, writing and talking will keep us all busy and may include time spent with neighbors and siblings, short trips are featured along with paperwork, messages and conversations.
Curiosity makes this a good time for gathering information about whatever we find interesting and inspiring. Clear self expression also makes this a good time sharing information with others. Rational thinking should help us with making decisions, plans and business deals but allow a week into the Eclipse before making major decisions. Mercury also rules the nervous system, so rest and relaxation become very important if the increased pace of life or social interaction gets too hectic.. Just chill and allow the process of change to evolve with grace. Trust in the universal flow, face the shadow with an honest heart and listen deeply to the winds of change.
Tuesday the 23rd of February for us in Australia the Full Moon falls in sign of Virgo. The Virgo Moon illuminates her light shining upon us from her opposite … the dreamy Piscean Sun. Virgo has a tendency to get lost in the day to day and to follow logic over intuition. But during this Full Moon, psychic impressions, deep knowing and inner feelings will bubble over Virgo’s practical approach…. The pull of the Piscean Sun!! It’s time to open our eyes, widen the lens, recognise that there is a bigger picture. Remember to go with the flow and allow for feelings of vulnerability or even weakness without feeling like it’s all falling apart.
Life, in all its often hectic confusion, can sometimes feel like we are juggling multiple ball that we must keep spinning simultaneously or risk total chaos, when in fact the balls simply represent the many faces of our unique being moving within this universe. We are one life, all of us. What happens outside and around us occurs also within and through us. The notion that things happen to us and we must respond is a distorted reflection of being. Instead it is we who happen to life… in all our glory… creating the world as we go.
We may feel great resistance to the message of this Moon, for she places vast responsibility at our feet which could feel like blame if we’re not careful. Her light illuminates our role in every moment of our lives…. the creative power we bring to every breath and each event. She sees no victims, no fate, not a single moment of bad luck or good fortune, only ourselves as whirlwinds of light and dark, energy and action and reaction, movement and rest. She reminds us we are shaped from the very stuff of stars, formed from the building blocks of the universe, born of infinity and eternity, boundless presence and sacred source. She asks that we let go the tiny mind which traps us in me and you, good and bad, unlucky and the favoured ones.
This is a challenging Moon, but also a comforting one. Which face we encounter will depend largely upon which we place our focus. If we allow our minds and hearts to be absorbed in thoughts and feelings of loss, regret, disappointment, recrimination or blame then we may struggle now, sensing that life is so far beyond our control that any effort to continue on is lost in the chaos of life out of balance. If, however, we open our hearts to the cooling rain or warming sun, the subtle movement of the seasons who, in following their own nature remind us how to follow ours, we will find support from Mother Earth herself. For as she hurtles through the void without hesitation… she is our greatest source of strength, playing her vital role in conscious evolution whilst willing us to do the same.
Any stresses of this Moon will be greatly eased by the recollection that we are all children of the universe, born of this one, bounteous planetary mother who meets our every need. All identities and personas, alliances and oppositions melt to nothing in the face of this knowing. This beautiful Moon reminds us that in essence and beyond it all, we are simply a force of nature like the tides and the wind, hot larva and the burning sun. But in all things, the human instinct is to tame and control, exploit and oppress. We do this to ourselves and each other, fearing our raw power, overwhelming emotions, lust, rage, love and fear. We objectify first, disconnecting from our collective heritage, and then judge, shape and control, be it our own feelings, other people or Mother Nature. Nothing is safe from use and abuse when we withdraw our own energy from it, perceiving it as other than ourselves. This Virgo Full Moon urges reversal of this trend, to look first within and then without, to see how we have divided and disenfranchised so many expressions of sacred source.
These are challenging times and we must find new and innovative ways to navigate its often choppy waters. But they are also times of rebirth and renewal, deep wisdom, and transformational insights. This Moon comes to remind us we are never alone…
The first Full Moon for 2016 falls in Leo on Sunday the 24th for us here in Australia exact at 11.46am (AEST). The Native Americans call the Full Moon of January the Wolf Moon and falling in the feisty sign of Leo this Full Moon will have us wired with confidence-boosting energy.
There’s an undeniable, captivating naïveté about the warmth and playfulness of Leo, a sign that’s often ruled by all things fun and entertaining. Ruled by the Sun, principle of consciousness, and the physical heart of the body, Leo is associated with the Self and the Ego. The best channel for the Leo self-expression is creativity, performance art, acting and dance. If we also consider that a Full Moon represents an energetic peak, which shines a powerful light on whatever is coming full-circle in our Life, highlighting culminations, realizations and manifestations in the world of our five senses… much like a cosmic spotlight, we get the ideal showtime scenario that stimulates us to pursue self-actualisation and full on self-expression… or throw temper tantrums.
Mercury will couple with Pluto at the time of the Full Moon and again on January 29th. This energy is intense and penetrating.
Watch out for mental obsession. Worry is focusing on what you do not want. Wherever your mind goes energy follows. Focus on what you want, not on what you do not… The waters could get rough… It could be challenging at times. Some people may be aggressive. Take good care of yourself.
Mars is the planet of action and desire. He is in Scorpio. Mars is challenging both lights (the Sun and the Moon.) …Watch out for losing your temper. Conversations can erupt into disagreements. This energy can make you irritable.
Channel your energy into physical activity and get out in nature. This square to Mars in Scorpio can point to a tendency to overdo it and make a show of strength to prove our points, digging our heels in and becoming pushy and overbearing; occult actions and hidden motivations might somehow clash against Leo’s enthusiastic transparency and crystalline optimism. But when the cosmic lights of the Leo Full Moon are on, our Ego and reputation are on the line; we are on the stage, playing our role, whether we realise it or not.
This Full Moon we might feel compelled to step out and voice our individual wants, needs and feelings that have been building up for a long time, shine our Light and demand the recognition we think we deserve. The temptation to make bold and daring moves, share our hearts, express our generosity and self-love will almost certainly surge through our veins with the impulsivity and vigor that are such a prominent feature of Fire signs. The presence of Mercury in the Uranus/Pluto/Black Moon Lilith T-Square is a clear reminder for us to be wise with verbal self-expression: our words can leave their mark, and, once uttered, they cannot be taken back.
The extent to which this might turn into a recipe for disaster is determined by our willingness (or lack thereof) to set our Ego and entitlement aside and keep them from dictating our actions and reactions. Issues might arise if we use concepts like “honour”, “pride” and the likes as defenses to shield our sensitive inner child… as long as we stay open and allow our blind spots and our shadow sides to emerge, sharing our Love and radiance in spite of them, we can only shine brighter than ever before.
