Capricorn Super Full Moon ♥

Thursday the 14th of July, we have our second Super Full Moon this season in the Earth sign of Capricorn, the Sea-Goat. This is the biggest Super Full Moon this year being the closest to Earth.

The energy surrounding the Capricorn Full Moon calls for us to take responsibility for our lives and the direction we are traveling.

If we are not happy, if we are not fulfilled, if we are not spending our time how we wish to, this Full Moon asks us to take charge and own up to any of our self-sabotaging actions which may have led us here.

Confronting what is not working and taking responsibility for how some things have unfolded can always be challenging, but there is a power to be found in doing this work, there is a power in addressing what we may be doing to contribute and how we can turn things around to get our lives closer to where we want to be.

Of course, there is only so much in our control, but if we use the powers of this Full Moon wisely, it can guide us to overcome obstacles, face up to challenges, and reach the top of whatever mountain we wish to climb.

Capricorn, the Sea-Goat is quite a powerful and resilient being that has developed the skills needed to climb the tallest mountain using its goat-like half and descend to the bottom of the ocean using its sea-like half.

This ability to journey through the oceans and the mountains gives the Sea-Goat a unique advantage point and perspective of the world.

It gives him the understanding and tolerance that there are many ways to look at things and many different perspectives. It also gives him a range of skills that no other being could compete with.

Learning how to climb to the top and swim to the depths is no easy feat, but as the Sea-Goat learns to accept both these sides of its being and to master each of these skills, it becomes stronger, powerful, and incredibly intelligent.

By overcoming the crashing waves and navigating the treacherous rocky slopes, the Sea-Goat also learns to build resilience and the sensitivity of what is truly worth its time and energy.

The Sea-Goat teaches us to honor all that we are, to appreciate different perspectives and to focus our time and energy on what we truly want out of life.

There are some hard aspects to the Capricorn Full Moon which may bring us some challenges.

Pluto, Lord of the Underworld is hovering close to this Full Moon, creating some heavy vibrations. We may find ourselves needing to come face to face with some uncomfortable things.

There may be a realization that some things need to come to an end, particularly around goals, or things that are blocking our goals. We may find ourselves needing to mature, let go, and realize that certain ideas, actions, or ventures are just not possible or sustainable right now.

There is a little bit of disheartened energy attached to this Full Moon, like a reality check or wake-up call that makes us realize that we just can’t go on. We may need to accept that some things are never going to be the way that we want them to be, or accept that unless we change, things are not going to get better.

Taking the mature, practical approach can help us to navigate any decisions with greater ease.

Letting go, closing doors, saying goodbye can all be hard things to do, but this Full Moon is our opportunity to re-write our next chapter, to transform our dreams and goals that didn’t work out, and to know that all we experience is a part of life and a part of making us stronger. There are truly no wrong paths in this life, just lessons, that make us wiser, better, and more capable human beings.

Mercury’s aspect to the Full Moon creates an inner conflict between rational thinking and intuitive feeling. Our hearts may say one thing but our heads another, making it harder to understand our true feelings and to share them. A distorted perception of reality can lead to confusion, anxiety, mixed feelings, indecisiveness, and poor judgment.

This aspect can make arguments more possible because of emotional bias or misunderstandings. We need to watch ourselves for becoming opinionated or prejudiced. Extra care needs to be taken with negotiations, important decisions, and sensitive discussion topics. Any way we can find the time to ground and step back from heightened feelings or decisions is the best way to navigate if anything should arise.

We also need to keep a check on our inner voice, is it self-deprecating or self-sabotaging? If we notice this happening, we need to switch things around and make our inner self-talk honest but also something that makes us feel good and positive.

On a positive aspect we have Uranus bringing in positive change and exciting opportunities. We should feel more open-minded, curious, creative, and experimental. Heightened intuition and self-awareness is heightened which can give us the confidence to try new things and become more independent. This is a good time to take some risks, initiate change, and act more spontaneously.

Chance encounters are possible, and we may have connections with unusual types of people or those from different ethnic or cultural backgrounds. This is also a good time to break bad habits and to leave boring or unhealthy relationships.

The Capricorn Super Full Moon is a bit of a mixed bag, but there are so many jewels hidden in its depths if we are willing to dive to the bottom or climb to the top to reach them. If we follow our intuition and connect through our hearts, there are new opportunities waiting for us on the horizon.

Love and Blessings
