Virgo Super New Moon ♥

We have a New Moon falling on the 17th of September in the Earth sign of Virgo. The Virgo New Moon is the first of a trio of Super New Moons over the coming months.

This string of 3 Super Moons will leads us into a Total Solar New Moon Eclipse in December, which will activate and open a portal to a fresh new beginning.

The energy surrounding the Virgo Super New Moon suggests a fresh change. The major themes of this Virgo New Moon are revitalization, recovery, and restoration. The New Moon will align with the Spirit Sun creating a calming, sensible, and healing energy.

Sure, we will be encouraged to face whatever problems we have been suppressing but we need to dig up hurt feelings and issues from the past to get over them.

It might be scary to revisit issues from the past, but we know and need to remember that we can only truly overcome them when we resolve them.

And, this Virgo New Moon is the perfect opportunity to do so. Whether we are dealing with physical, emotional, spiritual, or psychological wounds, the Super New Moon in Virgo will help us to heal.

Virgo is the sign of the healer. Its energy beckons us to welcome the healing power of nature into our lives, through the food we eat or through spending time in the forests, freshwater creeks, waterfalls and the ocean.

Under this Virgo Super New Moon is the perfect time to embrace the healing power of nature, herbal medicines, and plant foods to restore and recharge our energy fields.

Virgo also rules over the digestive system, so this is the perfect time to focus on nourishing ourselves, eat well and get in some yoga. When our gut is clear and healthy, we feel energised and our mind feels clear.

Our digestive system helps us not just process and assimilate the food we eat but also the energies and events that we experience.

Just like our digestion can become sluggish from a poor diet, we too have to learn to process and digest our emotions, so they don’t fester and cause energy blockages.

During the Virgo Super Moon, we also experience a Moon Wobble. You can read a bit more on A Moon Wobble below.

During a Moon Wobble the instability factor is high, emotions are more intense and even our weather patterns can be more extreme.

Essentially, this is a time of heightened energy and as the name suggests, we can feel thrown off balance and a little wobbly. The best way to handle Moon Wobble is to be a conscious observer and not to react to the drama, because the picture often changes after Moon Wobble is over.

Moon Wobbles indicate powerful inner growth and spiritual awakening, but in order to achieve this they can make us feel a little uncertain or unstable.

2020 has already brought a lot of instability, so maybe we are used to it at this point! But this is something the Virgo Super New Moon may heighten.

With Mars also in retrograde, we may see people more likely to act on this feeling of instability and insecurity by lashing out with hostile words and actions.

While we may see this happening around us, in our lives and out there globally remember that we don’t need to hold that vibration of hostility. Instead, we can shift our awareness out of the tension and hostility that is happening around us and choose to focus on holding the light. Be a beacon and shine brightly.

When there is panic and fear around us, it is easy to get sucked in, but it helps to remember that we are not just human, we are also divine beings that are connected to an infinite stream of love, light, and protection.

This divine self is untouchable. No harm can come to it, nothing can break it down. It is eternal and it is forever, and the only tune it vibrates to is love.

This part of ourselves is the Higher Self  and no matter what happens to us in life or what dark moments we go through, it remains untouched and always connected to love and peace.

By remembering this divine essence that lives within us all, we can raise our vibration, and by raising our vibration we can lift our planet to higher states of consciousness. The highly creative energy around this Virgo Super New Moon will be boosting our efforts and assisting us in this process.

So, we all need to remember this as we journey through the months ahead. Try our best to turn away from the anger, the division, and the hate, and instead keep holding the love, the unity, and the oneness.

Keep our attention focused on what you want to attract and create in our lives and try not to get distracted by the fear and noise of the outside world.

We all have the opportunity to tap into the Virgo Super New Moons energy to support our mind and body. Get out of repetitive or insecure thinking, and into a place of stillness, trust, and knowing.

Virgo is represented by the virgin, a strong, independent person who knows what they want and doesn’t need to answer to anyone. When the virgin connects with its independence and inner strength, it connects with its fullest potential.

Under the dark night of the Virgo Super New Moon, under the influence of the wobble and Mars Retrograde, know that we are protected and know that we are stronger than what we give ourselves credit for.

Know that we can choose what to focus our attention on. Know that we have the power to keep holding the light, not just for ourselves but the entire planet.

If interested this is a good time to take inspiration from high shamanic cultures, where creative endeavors are seen as a gateway to spiritual freedom. We need to let out any suppressed energies to feel at peace within.

Connect with nature, come from our heart space, channel our energies through creative ways, and we will instantly feel the healing process begin.

Mars Retrograde 2020

Mars has begun his retrograde journey through the underworld. Mars is journeying through Aries for the first time since 1988 and won’t repeat this rite of passage until 2067.

Now at his closest to the Earth, the Fire God will re-activate and revisit all the transformative and powerful zodiac alignments of 2020, and light them up one more time.

This year has brought some life-changing astrological alignments, so having Mars wake everything up and trigger all we have been through, is definitely going to feel intense.

Mars, the robust and masculine of all our planets. Bowing to its violent and brave character, in ancient times people worshipped Mars in the form of War God. When Mars Transit from one sign to another, it brings a great amount of change in the lives of one and all.

Following the huge Astrological events like Saturn Retrograde in Capricorn 2020, Jupiter Retrograde in Capricorn 2020, and Mercury Retrograde in Cancer 2020… Mars is all set to draw an impact of its retrograde motion on all of us. As a vivacious, energetic planet, Mars portrays bravery, vibrance, confidence, integrity, positivity, optimism, and strong self-expression.

Mars Retrograde is a time where we have an opportunity to reevaluate our life path and direction.
It is a time where we are encouraged to think about our actions, and whether they are aligned with the life and world we want to create.

As Mars travels through the underworld, we may find ourselves feeling a little lethargic or that we can’t move forward with ease. With Mars journeying retrograde we are also reminded to Rest, Reset and Review. The important 3 R’s of Retrograde.

Mars Retrograde can also bring delays and slow things down to a crawl, but this is really so we can take the much needed time to ensure that what we are wanting to do is in alignment with our true and highest self.

After Mars goes direct on November 13th, we will receive a boost of energy and it will be far easier for us to push forward on the things that we have wanted to do.
We may also find that things we wanted to do have shifted or changed. This is why it’s important to trust in divine timing, especially when we have a planet like Mars in Retrograde.

Trusting in divine timing is also going to be amplified from October 13 to November 3, as Mercury will be in retrograde at the same time.
Having both Mars and Mercury in retrograde together is definitely going to slow things down and make us feel uncertain or confused about what direction to head in.

It is not advisable to make big commitments or life-altering decisions during this period if possible, as this is considered a period of transition.
During a period of transition, we have to wait for the tide to turn in order to see where we are going to end up.

If we try to force a decision, we are likely to find that what we thought we wanted no longer aligns with where we have ended up.
Trusting and listening to our intuition will be extra important during this time, as will focusing on self-care.

Mars Retrograde in Aries is the call to individuate, speak truth to power, including our own!
To know that our body along with our consciousness is the path for our evolution.
A time to redefine how we respond to life’s challenges through a makeover or rebirth of our self-expression in the world.

To leaving behind the ‘roles’, all the settling for, the making nice, the barely breathing and calling it a life.
This is the time to embody our rebellious spirit, our wisdom, gifts and unique qualities.
Be audacious, brave, instinctual, passionate and focused.

This is the time to create whatever causes a revolution in our hearts. This is big turnaround stuff, cracking open the cocoons and pushing up through the Earth.
The next few days are going to be felt at a cellular level, manifesting physically as surges.

Some will feel it stronger than others, know that it is ok, if anyone feels overwhelmed take time to ground and Earth out, however that is achieved for each person.

As both Mars and Jupiter slow to change direction this week, we may feel the influxes literally shake and vibrate the old structures to release collective creations, creating Freedom from old experiences.

Mars Retrograde is a period where everything that 2020 has been about comes to the forefront.
Things need to change, and this Mars Retrograde will be ensuring that everything is up and laid out flat on the table.

During this time on a personal level we need to balance our energy levels. Protect our boundaries. Slow down and listen to our bodies. Be patient, rest and reset. Working with the base chakra helps us to stay grounded. Red Jasper, Black Onyx and Tourmaline. Hematite and Apache Tear crystals come to mind here.

Mars will be triggering the things we have seen play out on the world stage in matters relating to politics, government, power, and control as well. It’s almost like 2020 was always destined to be a year that brought the breakdown and dismantling of darker, denser energies so we can shift the planet into a higher state of consciousness.

Some are saying that we may see a spike in rebellion, uprising and riots may flare up again, protests and infection rates may begin to climb again globally.
Power struggles and exposed corruption may play out as general unrest is in the air, along with fear based attitudes. Bursts of anger and frustration may arise and we need to watch for that as well.

We are reaching the pointy end of the year and with this retro shift Mars is playing out in Aries it may trigger all these again.
Mars Can’t create tension out of nothing, but it Can trigger what is already present so we can clear and release it for good.

All that comes up during this Mars Retrograde are things that need to be exposed so we can shift and change them as a collective.
It all sounds pretty intense and let’s not dance around the edges, it will be for most of us but there is always light.

Without a little slice or a big slice of chaos things can remain stuck, stuck in the norm, accepted as that’s just how it is. So, when we face change, especially chaotic change we can get freaked out, sure! It’s normal, we are human, we are emotional beings.

If we can all just breathe, trust in divine timing, come from our heart spaces, stay grounded yet open to what comes our way we have the opportunity to transform, to raise our own vibrations and the planet like we have yearned for, for a very long time.

Pisces Full Moon ♥

Wednesday the 2nd of September we have a Full Moon falling in the Water sign of Pisces. Pisces is sensitive, tender and flowing. This Full Moon may feel incredibly dreamy, ethereal and our subconscious minds may be working harder than usual to release deeply buried wounds. Anything that we may have taken on in negative ways over the last six months will be asking to be released as well.

Septembers Pisces Full Moon is also known as the Harvest Full Moon. This is the Full Moon closest to the Equinox, and of course, as the name implies, is a period of harvest and reaping what we sow.

As we know, all Full Moons are related to a culmination and climax, which makes sense with the Harvest Full Moon. This time, the Full Moon falls in the last zodiac sign of Pisces, so there’s a greater amount of energy, a lot more than usual on the need to let outdated and bogged down energy to be released.

Pisces represents the energies of endings, loss of boundaries and merging with everything that is. In some ways, this Full Moon is a new start as well, as the next Full Moon will occur in the first sign of the zodiac, Aries & the astrological wheel of Lunations is beginning again.

There is a deep, awakening energy to this Full Moon, not just because it falls in the naturally psychic zodiac of Pisces, but because it also makes a harmonious alignment to Uranus.

Uranus is the planet of awakenings and change. It encourages us to see things through a fresh clean lens. Uranian energy ask us to look at things in a new order, to shift our awareness and tap into our higher consciousness.

From now until February 2021, we have a challenging Mars aspecting both Saturn and Pluto, whilst gearing up to go Retrograde. This will make most lunations seem tough for a while, with a feeling of limitation, frustration, fear and intensity.

However, Jupiter with Pluto can also mean learning to empower ourselves in new ways, and having faith that all will be well… Faith is a keyword for the sign of Pisces.

Neptune is also close to the Pisces Full Moon, which lends a smoke-and-mirrors energy to the mix, but also an energy of compassion, forgiveness and the ability to really find meaning in even the most tough situations. This can give us a spiritual direction during a frustrating period.

However, with Neptune, we always need to be careful to read between the lines, as our imagination, and our rose-coloured glasses, may not always tell us the full story.

Our feelings may not be entirely clear to us during this time either, and we have to go very deep to get to the core of a matter, its dig deeper time! Meditation, dreams and communing with a higher source of energy is very beneficial to gain insight into a situation during this Full Moon.

Fortunately, the Sun and Mercury in practical Virgo lends some rationality and realism during an otherwise dreamy ethereal Pisces Full Moon. This Full Moon may offer some kind of healing in some way, too, whether spiritual or physical.

Venus and Saturn are also active under this Full Moon and may be stir up issues in our relationships. This energy calls for us to own our actions and to speak our truth rather than getting defensive.

It calls for us to not deflect or pass blame, but to really take responsibility for our behavior and what we want to create moving forward.

The Pisces Full Moon can definitely stir up our emotions and trigger feelings of sensitivity. We may feel extra empathic too, this is a good thing as long as any empaths remember that we are overly sensitive and subjected to the energies of others. It is a good time protect oneself and recharge your energy.

As Pisces is a water sign, spending time near water or even taking a saltwater bath can be healing, cleanses the aura and is restorative. The Pisces Full Moon is great time to do a thorough smudge and energy clear out of our homes and ourselves. Spring energy is here, and a good spring clean on all levels is highly favored over this Lunation.

September offers some big energy shifts, and it feels this Pisces Full Moon will be a bright jewel, lighting our way, and preparing us for the closing of this ultra-transformative year.

Virgo Season 2020 ♥

As the Sun has transited into the Earth Sign of Virgo, we now enter Virgo Season 2020. The Sun will remain under the rule of Virgo until September the 22nd which will bring in the Vernal /Spring Equinox & the festival of Ostara that will officially bring in the astrological beginning point of Spring.

Virgo is represented by the virgin goddess, here the word virgin indicates someone who is whole and complete within themselves.

The virgin is able to do as they please. They live by no one else’s rules and the only person they have to answer to is themselves.

The virgin does not need to look outside of themselves for guidance, instead, they rely on their own connection with the Divine and their inner source of knowledge.

As the Sun shifts to Virgo, we can take this time to connect and align ourselves with the Divine. We are complete within ourselves; we do not lack anything. Our wholeness does not depend on our achievements.

Under the Virgo Sun, we can all tune into this energy by connecting and aligning with our inner compass and remembering that we are whole and complete within ourselves.

We are not missing anything, we are not a half, our wholeness is not conditional on what we have or have not achieved. Our wholeness is always there for us, we just have to connect with it.

Sometimes the connection is severed, but the wholeness is always there. It is often our guilt and shame that triggers the journey to reconnect with this inner source of wisdom.
Guilt and shame are often experienced when we are on the path of breaking old cycles and aligning with the Divine.

If we are not used to doing the things that are truly aligned with ourselves, we can experience these negative emotions. We all just need to have faith and keep working from our souls and inner knowing.

Under the Virgo Sun is a good time to start peeling back the layers behind anything we feel shame or guilty about.
We should ask ourselves if we are feeling ashamed because we may have acted against our highest calling or are, we feeling ashamed because we finally stood up for our highest calling?

Sometimes shame and guilt arises as we move through the process of breaking free of old habits and cycles and finally start acting in our alignment.

When we are not used to standing up for ourselves or doing things from the truth of our alignment, we can start doubting ourselves, but as long as we keep trusting and working from our soul, we will find our way through.

As the Sun moves through the sign of Virgo, we have some key planetary alignments that are going to shape the rest of the year. This includes the Mars Square Saturn and Mars Retrograde.

Mars Square Saturn is one of the key alignments taking place in 2020 and will be active for the next two months.
Mars is the planet of action and energy whereas, Saturn is about boundaries and restriction.

These two energies will push and pull each other, like an epic tug-of-war which will make us feel a little frustrated. We will want to move forward, but we may find that our actions are held back in some way.

On a global level, Mars Square Saturn can bring rising tensions when it comes to freedom and restrictions, especially restrictions laid down by the government or people in power.

It’s important to trust the Divine timing and to use this Virgo energy to be sure that all of our actions are in alignment with our inner compass.

The Pisces Full Moon falls on the 2nd of September and will be amplifying the energy of the Mars Saturn Square. We may feel that our energy levels are a little depleted, and that we need to rest.

Full Moons are always drawing things out of us and are a time to release. Under the influence of watery Pisces, we may find ourselves “releasing” psychic messages and intuitive downloads.
We may feel more connected to our higher selves and more tuned in to the higher dimensions around us.

The energy around this Full Moon also suggests that it may bring an exciting opportunity or gift, that may be connected to something we have been working towards since the start of the year.

On September 9th Mars turn retrograde. Mars enters retrograde every two years or so, but this is the first time since 1988 that Mars has been retrograde in the sign of Aries. This retrograde period may be a little more frustrating than normal by the energy of the Mars square Saturn aspect.

As Mars moves retrograde, we will be guided to reflect on the last 2 years in terms of our projects, motivation, and goals. We may find ourselves needing to reevaluate some of our actions and to be sure they are in alignment with what we would like to achieve and create moving forward.

Mars retrograde prevents us from running on autopilot and asks us to really look and see if we like how we are choosing to spend our time.

On a global level, this fiery Mars retrograde in Aries will be triggering a lot of the tension that is already present. We may see an increase in protests, riots, and continued dissatisfaction with the actions of those in positions of leadership.

In May and also into June, we had a string of planets turning retrograde. Now, as we move through September and October, all of these planets are preparing to go direct.
Jupiter will turn direct on September 13th. With Jupiter direct, we will start feeling a little more optimistic and we may notice more doors of opportunity opening for us.

2020 has really required that we swivel, twist and turn as we figure out new ways to approach our lives, so with Jupiter direct we may find embracing this approach easier and more fluid.

The Virgo New Moon falls on the 17th of September and has a bit of tension building around it, but the message of the virgin will be our guide. It asks us to remember our inner strength and to connect with our inner compass.

Under this New Moon we may feel that life is reflecting back to us what it is that we need to look at and reminding us of the power of sourcing from ourselves.

Virgo Season comes to an end on the Vernal/ Spring Equinox September 22nd, a time of equal night and day & the celebration of Ostara.

The Equinox heralds the start of Libra Season, and is also our halfway marker through the astrological year and the beginning of Spring.

August 2020 Astrology ♥

It feels like finally we will all get a little break from the intensity the cosmos has thrown at us so far this year of 2020. August is shaping up to be a smoother ride and if we look deeper and feel into it, we may notice that it’s also setting the stage of what’s to unfold in the final four months of the year.

2020 has been a challenging year so far across many facets, it has also made us face up to some big realities, there has been sadness, grief, confrontation, fear and unknowing. 2020 Astrologically blasted off with the ultra-rare and potent Saturn Pluto Conjunction, followed by a string of Retrogrades and potent Eclipses.

Along with the challenges we have also been offered a chance to re-evaluate, reset and our eyes have been opened to new possibilities and ways of living more in tune with our planet.

August also brings the magical Lionsgate Portal on the 8th of the 8th which will be a welcome break from the intensely transformative energies the year has brought so far.

Under the Lionsgate Portal we have opportunities to boost our energy, recharge our vitality, and work on raising our vibration to the highest frequencies.

August Planetary summary…

August 2nd the Sun will Square to Uranus – Whatever has been weak or shaky in our life is likely to come crashing down. This energy is not going to take us by surprise, rather it is simply going to confirm what we have known all along.

Sometimes we hold onto things out of fear or because they feel safe and familiar, even if we know that the time has come to let them go.

August 3rd, we have a Full Moon falling in Aquarius – The energies of the Sun Square Uranus aspect will be heightened on the Full Moon. Maybe now that our lives have been shaken, we are noticing other things and beliefs that need to be shed too.

This is a very cleansing Full Moon that will help to shake off the cobwebs of the past. It’s time to let go, and this Full Moon will really be guiding us to release our attachment and grip to things that are no longer serving us.

On the 8th of the 8th we have the peak of the Lions Gate – The Lionsgate Portal was opened on the 26th of July, its real strength begins to brew on the 3rd and will last until the 9-10th.

The Lionsgate Portal is activated by the Sun reaching the peak of Leo, the star Sirius, and the alignment of the Earth.

Under this portal, high-frequency energies will be beamed into our heart chakra and third eye chakra, accelerating our growth and spiritual advancement.

Accessing higher dimensions and our psychic abilities will become accessible a lot easier and we may feel ourselves being energetically healed and aligned.

On August the 13th Mars will Square to Pluto – This is where we want to pay attention as on this day, some groundwork will be laid for the months to come.

Mars is a very active player next month and all the way through to the end of the year. Mars is about to go retrograde too, so the alignments it is making now are things we are going to have to revisit again.

Watch what unfolds on this day on both a personal and global level, it may not make sense just yet, but during the Retrograde period, it’s likely to be revisited and revealed in a bigger way.

On August 15 Uranus turns Retrograde – Uranus will spend the rest of 2020 in retrograde, going direct come January 2021.

Uranus’ retrograde is a subtle movement and one that we are likely to feel on a subconscious level more than a conscious one.

It indicates a time to go back and reflect on how we have grown over the year and to honor the changes we have overcome.

We may also be revisiting events from early January 2020, or perhaps looking back to this time period with more clarity on what was happening for us.

August 18/19, we have a New Moon in Leo – Our mind may be cast to the future and we may be wondering about how to plan for the coming years.

This is a great New Moon for setting bold and brave intentions. There is also supportive energy to take a leap of faith and to see how we can make the most of wherever we find ourselves.

The dwarf planet, Goddess Eris will be in square alignment with Pluto too, which will help us find our strength if any shadow work arises.

On August 22nd the Sun shifts into Virgo – We enter the season of the independent and strong Goddess Virgo. This is a time to connect with our Divine Feminine and to remember just how powerful it is!

The Divine Feminine has nothing to do with gender, it lives in each and every one of us, and is part of the life force of this planet.

The Divine Feminine has a soft, flowy nature to it, but that doesn’t mean it’s also not strong and fierce.

Virgo is represented by the virgin. The Virgin is free to do as they please, when they want, and with whom they want. They don’t need a partner in order to be whole, for they are whole and complete in who they are.

The Virgin reminds us that when we listen to our inner compass, we will always have the strength and knowing to make it through whatever challenges come our way.

On August 24th Mars will Square to Saturn – This is another day to watch for clues, for whatever is stirred on this day is likely something we will need to revisit again.

Mars is the planet of action and energy, and when it goes retrograde on September 9, it is going to bring a fiery, heated energy that may see tensions escalate.

Now, while it’s making this alignment to Saturn, we may get some clues in regard to where the tension may come from or what seeds are being planted that will lead to the lessons and growth the upcoming Mars Retrograde will bring.

On August 27th Venus will Trine Neptune – While this is a very subtle energy It has been included in the Astrological energy summary for August as it’s magical! Trines indicate a harmony between two planets, so we have the Goddess of Love in harmony with the planet of dreams and creativity.

Together, their energy will send sweet, romantic, and creative vibes into the cosmos. This will beautifully lead us into the Pisces Full Moon which falls between September 1st and 2nd.

Love and Blessings

Cancer New Moon ♥

July 20th  we have a New Moon falling in the feminine and watery sign of Cancer. We also have quite a potent 5 planet conjunction that is in line with the New Moon, consisting of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Whilst this conjunction happens every 19.6 years, this time all 5 planets are going to align in their closest distances to Earth since 1623.

If you get outside pre-dawn you can see most of these planets with the naked eye. It’s worth the chill!

The biggest theme around the New Moon is trusting, letting go and surrendering that the universe will set us on the right path for our highest good.

Saturn is very active on this New Moon. Saturn is currently retrograde and has made its way back into the sign of Capricorn. There is a harsh restrictive vibe around the Cancerian New Moon as Saturn will be directly opposite the Moon brining in this restrictive feeling.

While Saturn can hold us down and back, its presence can also help us to get grounded and to think about what we can do to take responsibility for our lives.

If we find ourselves feeling restless, we can channel this energy by grounding ourselves and become one with the present moment.

A great way to do this is to connect with nature. Walk barefoot on the grass, feel the earth with our hands, connect with the trees, forest, the ocean, whatever is our favourite place in nature to be.

These simple acts allow us to connect with the electromagnetic field of the Earth, which brings us back into balance, into the here and now and into our bodies.

The New Moon may not only bring up feelings of being restricted but may make us look at how we are being held back by our own beliefs, habits, or routines.

Very often, we are the ones that are in our own way. Very often, it is a little habit, a fear, or a voice of doubt that keeps us playing small and in a limited mindset and state of being.

With the New Moon, it asks us not to set goals, but rather to focus on aligning ourselves. When we align with our highest truth, our highest self, and our highest power, we need not worry about what unfolds next.

When we are in this state of Divine alignment, we trust that whatever is meant to find us will find us, and the next perfect step will always be revealed to us.

When we live life from this place of surrender, rather than trying to control, we can tune in and connect with our own guiding star, with our own true north, and even when we feel lost, we can hold this sense of hope in our heart that all is well and all is as it should be.

Living from this place of surrender and trust requires us to shed the ego, it requires us to let go of a lot of societal conditioning, and to recognise there is a different and better way.

All of us have experienced great change this year, and change can always be challenging and even upsetting. But this is our life. And we have to find a way to make it work for us. We have to take the mess, the chaos, the pain, and find a way to make it work for us.

The Cancer New Moon reminds us that this process is not about struggling or “hard work”. Instead, it is about aligning. It is about putting our hands up and surrendering to the Divine that lives inside all of us.

Even though we have this incredible strength residing within, we need not go at it alone. Cancer energy is a great time to connect with those that we love and to create a sense of family around us.

Creating a sense of family is not just about our blood relatives. We can create it with our friends and our pets. We can create with our surroundings, with nature, our gardens and plants.

Under the dark night of the Cancer New Moon, it is a good opportunity to set intentions for our homes and our family life and what it is that we desire in these areas. It is also a good time to think about creating a more peaceful and soothing environment.

All of us are spending much more time at home these days, so it is a good thing to put some attention into filling our space with positive energy and things that make us feel peaceful and happy.

Overall, the Cancer New Moon helps us to start a new cycle. While we may feel a little restless and in need of grounding at first, eventually we will start feeling more at peace with our surroundings and more at home within ourselves.

The Cancerian New Moon is urging us to begin a new cycle, one that flows from not struggling and trusting the process. Saturn opposite the Moon adds a seriousness, melancholy restrictive vibe which can challenge us and make us feel frustrated, pessimistic, and held back.

The best way to deal with such a repressive influence is to work along with patience. There is a connection with the fixed star Procyon and the New Moon, this can make us feel restless, hasty, and argumentative. And this impulsive and aggressive influence is amplified by Mercury who is square to Mars.

So, summing up, the Cancer New Moon asks us to focus on the basics. To tackle one thing at a time and start with the most important task first. She asks us to be patient, to avoid taking unnecessary risks, and not to react to aggravation. La Lunar seeks for us to look at family and home, to create soothing spaces, to ground ourselves and trust.

Capricorn Lunar Eclipse ♥

Sunday the 5th of July, we have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn. This Eclipse will end the 2020 winter eclipse season and also wraps up a bigger eclipse cycle that we have been working with since 2018. The Capricorn Lunar Eclipse is a turbocharged, a super menstrual, wolf-howler version of a Full Moon.

The Moon is opposite the Sun during a Full Moon. With a Lunar Eclipse, the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon and usually causes a blood red shadow. However, since this is an appulse Lunar Eclipse, the Earth will only cover the Moon around 35%. Although this Lunar Eclipse is not highly visible, its effects will certainly be felt on a psychic and emotional level.

The Moon signifies our inner landscape. Whereas the Sun identifies powerfully with the self, this Lunar Eclipse encourages us to look to our outer world as a reflection of who we are on the inside. In a Lunar Eclipse, the Sun momentarily blocks the illumination that creates a Full Moon, thereby resetting the current emotional cycle and allowing the shadow to reveal what is hidden in our subconscious or keeping us blocked from seeing more clearly.

The spiritual aspects of the Moon represent our deep emotional tides. So, when the shadow passes over the Moon, temporarily ceasing the illumination of our emotional being, there is an opportunity to reveal and transform our current emotional state.

The Goddess asteroid, Vesta is close to the Sun during this Eclipse. Vesta was the Roman virgin goddess of the hearth, home, and family. Vesta represents harvest and abundance, and its presence will be ensuring that this Eclipse brings the fruits of our labor.

Vesta will remind us of the importance of nourishing ourselves! Taking care of ourselves and looking after our health and wellbeing should always be our number one priority. This is amplified as our energy may feel depleted around this Eclipse, we need to be gentle with ourselves, and ensure we take time to rest and recharge.

Eclipses can also affect our sleep cycle, dreams and astral travel are heightened as well. Dream journaling can offer us many insights.

This Capricorn Lunar Eclipse also falls in the heart of the Sirius Gateway, adding to its power and potential. Sirius is our “Spiritual Sun” and it is very active all through the first week of July. The Sun with Sirius brings success in business along with domestic harmony.

During this time, Sirius beams high-frequency energies down to Earth that can help us ascend, recharge, and access higher intelligence.

Sirius energy is magical, and it will be heightening the magic felt around this Eclipse/.

We may find ourselves feeling a little anxious or sensitive with all these energies too, so we need to keep grounding ourselves.

Take soothing baths, work with our favorite crystals, spend time in nature, recharging and resting will help us navigate through all these incredibly transformative energies.

The main planetary influence on the Capricorn Lunar eclipse comes from Mercury and Uranus. Although not a particularly strong influence, it is a positive one. Open-mindedness and curiosity will bring stimulating conversation and new ideas. There should be positive changes, new discoveries, and exciting news.

While there are rewards and positive influences surrounding this Eclipse, there is also a final release or purging to do for many of us.

We will be guided to release something from our lives, something we have been holding on to that is now ready to be returned to the Earth and replaced with something new.

This Eclipse energy filters through our body helping us to surrender and release. Our only job is to learn how to let go. By not struggling & fighting against the release we will have a much easier time with all these energies.

We need to trust that whatever has been cleared from our life has been cleared for a reason. As painful as it can be at times, we are all reminded that… this is our life. So, accept it. Embrace it. Find the hope that is needed to keep walking on our journeys.

Mercury Retrograde and Mars are also active around this Eclipse, which is adding some heated energy. We may feel emotions rising and bubbling to the surface. Finding a healthy way to release any heated emotions that arise is key and finding the strength & confidence to speak up and share our truth when it’s called for.

Reaching the end of this Eclipse cycle and the Eclipse Gateway will feel like deep cleansing has taken place. But a lightness will follow, and we may even notice ourselves feeling a deep sense of satisfaction in reaching the end of this cycle.

This is a time to honor our journeys. Honor the changes, the upheaval, and the flow of our life. Honor ourselves for who we are today because of it all.

After the energies of the Capricorn Lunar Eclipse come to a simmer, things will lighten, and we will get a nice reprieve before Eclipse Season starts again in November.

Winter Solstice June 2020

As the Sun reaches zero degrees of Cancer today, we experience the Solstice, a moment where the Sun “stands still” and we in Southern Hemisphere experience the shortest day of the year. This year we have a powerful Solar Eclipse falling just moments after the Winter Solstice, adding to the magical and electric energy of this already special day.

As the Sun reaches this special marker in the cosmic skies, the ancients believed that the veil between this world and the next grew thinner. They also believed that the spirits of nature were more active and more willing to make themselves known.

The Solstice is always a wonderful time to connect and tune in to our intuition and to the beauty of nature all around us.

As we experience the shortest day of the year and the official start of Winter, it is a time to honor the stillness of nature and the pause it is taking in order to recharge.

Under the longest night, we too are called to retreat within, to reflect on the journey that we have traveled, and to acknowledge how our past has led us to this moment.

The Winter Solstice is considered the rebirth of the Sun. While it may be at its weakest it is also at its most fertile, and in the darkness, we can plant seeds for our hopes, dreams, and wishes.

At Winter Solstice, the Sun returns to its waxing journey through the sky, offering hope for the coming months where light will once again reign and provide warmth and sustenance.

Winter Solstice brings with it the increase of hope, abundance and the promise of growth that is to come after we journey through the depths of the dark cycle of the year and through our own internal shadows.

During this time, there is much celebration of the upcoming season, of moving into the direction of the possibility and of celebrating the lessons that have come into our life during the shadow time as we peel back the layers that no longer fit us.

The Winter Solstice is a time of inward reflection and digging deep to find what it is that we are wanting to bring into our future. When we move through shadowlands, we have the ability to have an increase in clarity as to what we are wanting to have be our reality in the future.

Yule is represented by the symbol of a wheel, The Great Wheel of the Zodiac, The Wheel of Life. The spokes of the wheel are the points of the old festivals of the year, the Solstices and Equinoxes.

Yule is deeply rooted in the cycle of the year, it is the seed time of year, the longest night and the shortest day, where the Goddess once again becomes the Great Mother and gives birth to the new Sun King.

In a poetic sense it is on this the longest night of the winter, ‘the dark night of our souls’, that there springs the new spark of hope, the Sacred Fire, the Light of the World..

Fire festivals, celebrating the rebirth of the Sun, held on the Winter’s Solstice can be found throughout the ancient world. Unlike the more public outdoor festival of the Summer Solstice, Yule lends itself to a more private and domestic celebration. Yet like its midsummer counterpart, is strongly associated with fertility and the continuation of life.

Here the Goddess is in her dark aspect, as ‘She Who Cuts The Thread’ or ‘Our Lady in Darkness’, calling back the Sun God. Yet, at the same time, she is in the process of giving birth to her Son-Lover who will re-fertilise her and the Earth, bringing back the light and warmth to the world.

Metaphorically it is said we are born again at Yule/Winter Solstice, coming out of the shadow and the dark void, with the birth of the Sun, we are born into our divine nature. We are the light. We are on a journey, just like the Moon and the Sun, cycling through the seasons… living, dying and re-birthing, finding meaning as we journey here on Earth.

Mercury Retrograde June 2020 ♥

Mercury, messenger of the Gods and the planet of communication has turned retrograde and will remain so until July 12th Three or four times a year, we all go through the infamous Mercury retrograde.

A retrograde occurs when the planet appears to travel backward in the sky and slows down. Most people dread Mercury Retrograde as communications can go haywire. Yes, it’s true, it is a difficult phase, but we can look at it in other ways as well. Sure, communication is wonky. An email from a coworker may randomly decide to send itself to the trash.

We take things personally when we don’t need to or slip and accidentally insult a friend. And of course, there is the infamous return of the exes. Everything can just feel harder, as if you’re dragging yourself through the mud every time you want to have a conversation. And right now, there are many important conversations to be had.

However, we can also see Mercury Retrograde like a good long rainstorm or East Coast Low ? We can sit on our bums and complain about it, or worse, try to rush and get things done while waiting for the sun to come back out. Only be met with delays, contention and frustration!

I feel the better option is to tune into Retrograde energy. Follow the 3 R’s – Rest, Reset and Regenerate!! Clean house, take care of forgotten tasks, double check over future plans and be productive. Either way, the Sun will eventually come out again. Why make it hard on ourselves!

For this Retrograde period Mercury will journey through family-oriented Cancer, turning our attention to our communities. In addition to the sign the planet is in at the time, other planets are often associated with Mercury retrograde and can have an effect on how we experience it. However, this Mercury retrograde makes no planetary aspects. It does, however, connect with a star called Sirius, which is the brightest star in the sky.

Sirius is much less dramatic than any of the planets, but it’s still brilliant. It’s the star of wealth, abundance, honor, passion, and resentment. Overall, it’s pretty positive. When Sirius connects with Mercury retrograde, it can help us make decisions that lead us on a path towards abundance.

When any planet goes retrograde, it gives us a second chance to make things right. For Mercury retrograde, that means we get a chance to make amends when it comes to any recent communication mishaps.

Though this Mercury retrograde will be easier on us than those in the past, it doesn’t mean we’re having an easy go of it right now by any means. Regardless of what the planetary aspects say, to imply that anything right now will be easier than usual would be false, given the political circumstances we’re currently living under. Many of us are trying to not only navigate surviving a pandemic and an economic collapse but are also protesting police brutality about inequalities and how to break them down and start over to rebuild for a better future.

With our focus on community and the pull of the brightest star, use this Mercury retrograde to reflect and repair any past communication errors. When we ignore unresolved issues, they stay unresolved.

This Retrograde energy also greets us as we walk the Eclipse Gateway, which is the sacred and profoundly transformative time between Eclipses. Collectively, this combination of Retrograde and Eclipse energy will stir up some uncertainty and some deeper questioning about the direction of our lives.

Past wounds may also rise up in order to be cleansed. We may even intuitively feel that our past, or even past lives, hold a clue as to where we are heading. Under all of this energy, Mercury retrograding in the sign of Cancer heightens our sensitivity and brings increased power to the words we speak and the through thoughts we think.

We are going to be able to see how our thoughts and words impact the way we see the world.

Mercury traveling through the underworld of Cancer also means we will be able to feel the vibration, emotion, and true intention behind the words that are shared with us with greater sensitivity.

While we may find ourselves getting easily upset when someone says something harsh to us, we will also find ourselves feeling easily healed and soothed when someone says something kind to us. This energy works both ways.

The words we share always matter, but especially during this Mercury Retrograde in Cancer, we want to be aware that they carry extra power.

This is a wonderful time to reach out to those that are struggling and those that need some extra love – ourselves included, and share some beautiful words of encouragement and compassion.

We can all use the family-focused pull of Cancer to support the communities we align with and have the tough talks with any friends or relatives who still have a lot of work to do. Have them now, because the next Mercury retrograde likely won’t be so friendly.

Sagittarius Full Moon Lunar Eclipse ♥

In the early morning hours of Saturday the 6th of June, we have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the freedom loving fire sign of Sagittarius.

A Lunar Eclipse has ten times the potential of Full Moon, and often clears a path that steers us in a new direction on our journey. We may have thought we were going one way, but often an Eclipse comes along to reveal a whole new path.

Sometimes we find that something in our life is coming to an end. Or, we may find that we are called to release and let go of something that we truly thought was right for us.

The feisty Sagittarian Lunar Eclipse is just that… feisty! Its energy can be impulsive and a bit angry because the Moon is in a tight square formation to Mars. The Moon is also opposite Venus retrograde which is not a good omen for love relationships.

Strong relationships will withstand this intensity through patience and unconditional love. However, this feisty impulsive energy poses a real threat to strained relationships. Impatience, sexual frustration, and lack of self-control could turn love to hate, resulting in impulsive actions and hostility. These planetary aspects to the Sagittarian Lunar Eclipse can also point to danger of war between enemies, as well as earthquakes.

With the Moon’s tight square aspect to Mars it can bring simmering anger to the surface, so care is required to avoid being hurt or causing harm. We may feel quick to lose our tempers with a loved one or face emotional attacks from others. There is a danger when taking risks or acting impulsively. But holding onto anger and frustration is not good for us.

The key to handling this quick anger is to release our frustrations in a controlled way. We need to avoid being overly defensive or mean if someone shares their feelings with us, even if it is confrontational. Courage will be needed to face anything that may make us feel threatened over the next few days.

Yes, some fiery oppositions may come up, but the energy of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will be guiding us to stand our ground, claim our power, and allow the voice of our inner fire to speak.

It is the first in a trio of Eclipses, and as we walk this Eclipse Gateway over the coming weeks, we will discover a new path emerging, one that may be very different from the path we were walking before.

With Mars being the major player with the Full Moon we need to remember that Mars is the warrior, which is why this Eclipse very much plays into this idea of finding our inner warrior and inner flame and allowing it to shine.

Emotions may be heated, but we need to learn to listen to ourselves. We must learn to listen to our anger and frustration for there is wisdom inside doing this.

If we allow ourselves to sit gently with our emotions, we are likely to have a breakthrough. If we allow ourselves to feel our anger or feel the intensity of our emotions, we are likely to find the truth of what is bubbling underneath the surface.

If we constantly dismiss the harder or more abrasive thoughts and feelings when they arise, we never really get to understand them.

It’s not that we want or need to sit in our anger forever or allow our inner voice to become drowned by negative talk, but we also don’t want to ignore these voices and push them away.

We want to listen to them and discover what they really mean. We want to look honesty at every single one of them and see the value in what they have to share and offer.

When we listen to ourselves; when we really take the time to go within and listen, we catch things we may have otherwise missed. We learn things about ourselves, and we open to a new truth.

It is not just our love and light that can teach us, but our pain, anger, jealousy, and resentment too.

These emotions are uncomfortable, and no one wants to feel this way, but it is so much a part of our human experience, and we can no longer ignore them or wish them away with false thinking.

We need to listen, seek the jewels of wisdom that they offer, and then let them go.

We cannot rush this process. We cannot just let it go because it’s uncomfortable. We have to sit with it first. We have to own all of it!!! Claim all of it!!! And allow ourselves to rise with it so we can understand what is bringing up the flames within.

As this Eclipse falls in Sagittarius, we are likely going to find ourselves clearing thoughts, beliefs, and ideas in order to prepare for this new journey that is yet to unfold. Sagittarius is freedom loving, expansive and wise. We may feel the need to get out, get away as we have been cooped up for some time now. We should choose wisely what escape we are longing for and make it positive! The feeling to escape reality can be a bad choice as addictions can rise to the surface. A positive and healing adventure in nature is much wiser.

Globally there is a feeling of unrest and rebellion, we may see this Sagittarian Full Moon energy amplifying all of this. Love, Hate, War and clashes are indicated with the planetary aspects. Mars is the biggest influence as mention however the Lunar Eclipse opposite Venus brings the potential for laziness, gluttony, carelessness with money, and indiscretion in love. We may feel we want more love and affection but have trouble giving it.

Venus retrograde also makes giving and receiving love and affection more difficult and can also indicate some kind of financial stress. Old friends or lovers may reappear, or we may relive past life experiences in order to sort out karmic issues.

Venus square to Mars can bring frustration across many levels, Frustration and physical tension can be released more safely through sport and exercise. We can also channel this dynamic energy into hard work, or creativity like painting, sculpture or dance.

Although there is fire and frustration bubbling over the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, there is also an illuminating factor, if we have questions, if we have been feeling confused, now is the time to set an intention and allow this Eclipse to show us the way.

Allow it to illuminate us and bring us to the path that is best for our journey.

This Sagittarius Eclipse will work in harmony with the next two Eclipses, so there is much. Much more to the journey that will unfold.

By the time we have finished walking through this gateway of Eclipses, we are going to feel energized again and reborn.

We may enter this gateway feeling confused, overwhelmed, and unsure, but we will leave it with a clearer knowing, a stronger sense of our destiny, and more connected to our personal power.
